Had a wonderful experience dining here! Food was really Delicious and I also had drinks included so I was well pleased. There was a variety of starters, main course dishes and desserts with extra ice cream. Had easy access to refill food instantly as many times with out having to wait at a very reasonable price! Overall the staff and manager were warm and welcoming adding to the great service so soon I’ll say “here we go again!”
Visited for the first time and staff seemed a little disinterested. Food was varied and okay but just not hot enough for me. Kids liked it though, especially the choice of different desserts. Car parking is free and lots of space by the football stadium. Seems popular but not really for me.Food: 3/5
Overall my experience was poor, you get badgered for a drink order before even sitting down , the food was OK , we had brought our own birthday cake in and a member of staff came over and spoke about it without being discreet , and to top it all off they charged £10.50 for my 3 year old daughter who never even ate 1 plate of food and £3.50 for my 1 year old with dietary needs who physically could only eat chips! Will definitely not be returning especially with the prices for young children . Kid-friendliness: My child also slipped on the very greasy floor and hit her head against another chair , I had to walk around with my grandmother to assure she didn’t slip either !
I'm very 50/50 about this place. It's an all you can eat and everyone I encounter raves about it, but for me I'd rather get a takeaway at home. Because the food is keep in heat pans, it can dry the food out. You can get Chinese, Indian, English and desert. It's £19.50 each, and drinks are separate.Food: 3/5
We really enjoyed our meal today, excellent food, there was three members of waiting staff working and two of them are lovely but the third member of staff is horrible and miserable who slams the drinks down on the table, we are regular visitors to the oxy and every time we visit he is the same, I don't know his name, but if your that unhappy at work, leave. All the other staff are lovely and the food is fantastic. Parking: 100's of parking spaces
Had a very poor experience dining in Oxy Oriental. They told us that the buffet will close by 9 pm and we had approx. one hour 15 minutes. The staff started harassing us from 8:30 pm onwards. First the barbeque counter is about to close and then the desert counter saying that it’s 8:40 and please make your last order for desert. We followed and took everything that we needed by 8:45 and then the worse. The staff won’t even let us finish the food in our plate stating that it’s past 9 now. Passing on comments like “we have started cleaning, you cannot disrupt our policy etc. every time they pass by. There were even owners sitting on one table but did not care to intervene. Never experienced such a harassment at any restaurant. Not going back ever!!
I really enjoyed my meal here. The food was fantastic. I'm pescatarian and there was a lot of choice. The Thai squid was amazing. The puddings were bad, not a lot of choice and no labels as to what they were.Food: 5/5
Just a family fun get together. Oxy was rather busy when we arrived and there was a queue. Thankfully we had a table booked, this is MOST ADVISED if you're planning to eat here. The resturant manager did appear rushed and rather stressed. He had calmed later as things eased. Sadly the drinks service let the table service down. Five out of the six drinks arrived quickly, we had to stop staff three times to ask for the additional drink. The food self service was plentiful, hot and tasty. Lots of chicken dishes. Personally I would have liked a few more vegetable dishes on offer. All in all a good night out despite the drinks hiccup!
Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Arrived and once we had been seated and went to get our food, half the containers were empty. When we mentioned this to that staff at the till when we came to pay, we were told it was a reduced price, but it wasn't that much cheaper than a Saturday eve. Rather disappointed Food: 1/5
Lovely atmosphere, great place if you want an ‘all-you can eat’ Chinese buffet. Staff are okay but some of them don’t speak English and will just pretend to understand you. Food is really good if you get it when it’s fresh, after a while things become stale and not warm. Otherwise, I’d recommend this place
