It is a fundamental principle of charity that one would wish to be done as you would be done by. No-one would like to be treated the way I was treated in this shop. I picked up an obscure volume of medieval philosophy and left it with them while I retrieved the money from my wife. When I went back I was told it was withdrawn as they had discovered it was worth more than 2 pounds. Good luck with trying to sell this Volume 2. Given the subject it could take years. Meanwhile you have managed to upset someone who in the course of his lifetime has spent thousands in Oxfam bookshops. Own goal of the highest order.
Great shop, attentive staff and good prices.
