A perfect place to start the day of exploring the coastline. A lovely welcome, great cup of tea and a delicious breakfast. Food was hot, fresh and delicious. The Team were absolutely lovely too. A must visit.
Great service and friendly staff. The prawn sandwich was excellent. My husband's Guinness steak pie was over the top good. Highly recommend.
Had lunch there today. My friend ordered a chicken burger - cut it in half and it was pink and raw in middle. We sent it back. They brought out another one and halfway through eating it discovered it was bloody. Told waitress who informed us that chef had checked temperature on it and it would be safe to eat. Needless to say my friend didn’t eat it as she’d lost her appetite. To add insult to injury they made us pay for the burger only knocking fifteen percent off bill. My friend couldn’t eat her burger!nUnless you want salmonella avoid avoid avoid!!

However, the star of the evening was, without a doubt, the sea bass. Cooked to perfection, the sea bass was fresh, flaky, and bursting with flavor. The accompanying sides complemented the dish beautifully, making it a truly memorable dining experience.nnWhether you're looking for a casual dinner with friends or a special night out, Ownies Bar and Bistro is the place to be. I have been coming here for 20 odd years but less so the last few due to living slightly further away now. I convinced my friends to go here for a couple after a meal in the mayur last night for old times sake but they had warned me the place had went down hill. When we got to the door, the bouncers rejected us for our clothing. It’s safe to say Ownies will never see another penny from my family or friends for the lack of respect shown to us at the door.
