Very friendly staff, clean and good decor. Pretty typical pub grub, nice to be able to get fresh veg; a couple of interesting looking alternatives. Good breakfast if stopping at the associated Premier Inn.

A welcoming venue, with a good selection of well-prepared food at sensible prices. Various menus for different meals, and the £6 lunch offer is tasty and filling without bloating you (although the optional dessert menu is tempting). Busy, so check ahead for weekend tables.

Good service, food portion didn't match the price. Lasagne was lovely and the lamb and fish was too. Chicken burger sauce was over powering although it was nice meat Sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy, chips looked like it had been sat on the side for abit, mushy peas tasted like tined peas. Tartar sauce would be nicer if it was homemade Dessert: Rocky Road Sundae hardly had any brownie, Apple toffee crumble couldn't taste the toffee and cinnamon didn't taste nice like it normally would with the Apple.

Assigned server Jack, very polite and friendly. Didn't fuss over us too much which was fab. Food arrived at respectable intervals. Hot and slot of it. Would definitely recommend.

Absolutely awful the staff were rude & uninterested in the customers. The toilets were absolutely disgusting to the point that my 9 & 4 year old sons refused to use them. My children had a two course meal but we're only served the main & never had dessert. Then to add insult to injury I was over charged for the medals. I was given a refund on the overcharged amount when I bought it to the managers attention, but he then became argumentative when I mentioned the state of the toilets. I can honestly say that I will not be returning to Oswalds Cross again.
