I understand how difficult it is to get an appointment so I went in with an eye infection and needed cream for my leg also Only to be told I can only have 1 problem and would need a new appointment for my leg cream……….. as the doctor needed “time to type up her notes” Surly it makes sense to just issue me cream for my leg as well while I’m already sat in the chair Instead waste another valuable appointment and me waste my own time and book time off work Talk about being lazy! Didn’t even take a look as it could be something serious for all they know!! This could need serious attention but no book another appointment. Reception staff are always nice and helpful so this is not at you at all. And surly there isn’t many notes to type up for some eye drops
All the girls at reception are very good at what they do, which is to be friendly, supportive and efficient. When I call for any reason, they go out their way to help. After seeing Dr. Teresa I’Brien today, I absolutely feel she wants to get to the bottom of my illness query and she will do so in-depth and thoroughly! I have been a patient there now for nearly 12 years and can honestly say that this practice is everything I need and require to help with my health. Many thanks
Updated review 2023: The GP does not make any appointments anymore and you need to call them 8 o'clock to try to get booked in for the day. You need to ask to speak about more than one problem at a time but it can be arranged. The GP itself is fine, but all the process to get anything you need takes ages and have long waiting lines. Anyways eventually you get it., but I would expect it to work a lot better then it does because we pay a lot of tax. ________ Unlike some gps, in this one you can book an appointment and speak about more than 1 problem. It's just the best gp I have been. Brilliant!
Been with this surgery a couple of weeks, just had to speak to them for the first time and the unprofessional receptionist was horrendous. What is it with gp receptionists that think they are better than someone who answers the phone and books people in. Horrible witch of a woman.
My one criticism is trying to make appointment ,you phone in at 8am as instructed to no avail, however you can call in at 8am and get an appointment that day. I would suggest you have one system that works not two systems that are hit and miss,however the receptionist are excellent.
As well as being efficient, the receptionist had a lovely, personable manner. I had an appointment with the HCA, but was offered the flu jab at the same time. She even, acknowledged me as I was leaving, and asked if I was OK, which is something I have never experienced at any GP practice before. The HCA, Collette, was also lovely, as well as effecient, as she always is. A great experience overall.
Near enough impossible to get an appointment. You will ring up and wait 10 minutes to try and book an appointment to be told you have to call 8am. 8am the next day comes and you cannot speak to staff until about 9/10am, ridiculous. One of the receptionists is quite rude too, a middle aged blonde lady - very blunt, rude & unprofessional, 3 other patients have also made similar remarks about this particular staff member. Many of the GPs are agency and have no interest in patient care. However, one GP, Dr Pang is fantastic and actually cares and takes time to listen. I understand the pressures on the NHS and a lot of other practices may have similar issues but overall I would not recommend this practice as it is near enough impossible for a full time working person to book an appointment.
The most unhelpful staff. I have been with this surgery almost 30 years and they have deactivated my record in error, refusing to reactivate it without me reregistering and refusing to give me an urgent gp appointment and smear test. I've since been informed that they have a duty of care to provide me with these appointments for 30 days from registering with a new gp.
I am appaulled by the service I have just received from this doctors appointment. Firstly, I rang up 62 times in one morning at 8 o'clock and was not successful as I did not get an appointment. I was then trying for a to get an appointment for a week and was finally succesful the following Thursday. I attended my appointment to receive an awful service. The GP did not introduce himself and seemed extremely uninterested. I was there for approximately 2 minutes to not get any solution to my problem. Therefore, I am shocked by this service and believe action needs to be taken.
Very Friendly reception and courteous, always helpful. Appointments can be difficult but this goes for any GP center these days and they will always find a cancellation for you if possible. GP is always updated with you and easy to speak to for advice and recommendations for a hospital or unit. Dave Black Walton .
