I recently visited this park and had a wonderful experience. The park is peaceful and quiet, and it feels like you are connected to nature. I took a leisurely stroll around the park and admired the beauty of the trees and the grass. There were people jogging, walking their dogs, and playing fetch with their dogs. I found a nice bench to sit on and read my book in the peaceful atmosphere. The park was well-maintained and clean and I felt safe and relaxed. I definitely recommend visiting this park if you're looking for some peace and quiet, and a break from the city. I'm sure you'll have a great experience just like I did!
I went to see Iron Maiden and some supporting bands at this venue. I was not disappointed. The venue was well placed, easy to find and get to. Getting in was easy. The set up with food, drink and merch was great too. Staging was superb, quickly changed and let the bands play and change really fast. Thank you Ormeau Park. Superb event.
Nice Park. Good for a walk. Calm and quiet place. One of the largest and busiest parks in the city and contains a variety of horticulture, woodland, wildlife and sporting facilities.
Great Park for dogs and kids. 2 Play parks on the edge. Water fountains for dogs. Coffee truck in the center. Love Ormeau for me and my dog Sadie.
Great park on the banks of the Lagan river offering lots to do for the family. There are walks, bowling green, BMX track, indoor tennis and bowling, basketball courts, and play areas for smaller children. And free parking. It’s open from early until late. It’s easily accessible from all parts of Belfast. It’s also the venue for Belsonic which is held there every year in June.,
Needs toilets but apart from that it’s one mad place for festivals like Belsonic if you’re brave enough to join the masses. Beautiful parkland right in the middle of the city running from the Ormeau Road to the Ravenhill Road and overlooking the River Lagan. No parking at the park but plenty of streets nearby to park on. A regular and lovely commute for walkers and cyclists from the Ormeau to the Ravenhill too. No vans selling food or drink - best to head to the Ormeau for that
Lovely public space, wish I had more time to explore more of it, but we picnic'd by the children's playground and it kept them busy while we relaxed. Could not find a main carpark though. Is there one?
Compared to many city parks I’ve seen, this one feels quite safe and peaceful during the day. The grounds are clearly cared for. Unfortunately, many of the benches have vulgar graffiti and it looks as though they are not cleaned regularly. So avoid the benches, but the park itself is wonderful.
It is a wonderful experience. Good for a walk and talk. Good family park.
Love cycling through this park as the last part of my route to work, like seeing squirrels and the birds
