Bright, attractive and friendly organic cafe, with vegan options available. Good for breakfast, lunch and cake. Very tasty sourdough bread used in the toasted sandwiches and fillings with great flavour combinations. Meanders over 3 floors. Order at the counter, pay on the way out and just see if you can resist buying a slice of cake to take away!

We visited the organic deli cafe after a wedding that had a free alcohol component... Suffice to say we were all very hungover. I didn't eat anything myself, not because of the selection on offer, more down to my desire to make peace with my alcohol ravaged intestinal tract. Others in my group were braver and possessed more intestinal fortitude than I and their food looked delicious! The staff were very friendly, attentive and sympathetic to our condition...Our waiter explained the ordering method (which would've been simpler on a less challenging day) to us slowly and carefully, took our orders in hushed tones while maintaining an air of restrained friendliness that Sat very well with the hammering headache that I had. The surroundings of the cafe are delightful, and the decor is charming. If I'm ever in Oxford again I would happily return and sample the delights on offer with a sober head.

We visited Oxford for the first time in ages and looking for a place to eat we found this cafe. It's lovely on the outside and on the inside so my partner and I went in and chose two toasted falafel sandwiches, which on the board looked very tasty. It was then that my disappointment started...the toasted sandwiches were very dry with some squashed falafel and dried hummus thinly spread on one slice, accompanied by a slice of cucumber, quarter of tomato and some dry leaves. We both managed to eat this (with some water) as we were both hungry. The staff are very pleasant and welcoming but unfortunately we won't be visiting there again as the two toasted sandwiches (which were not good at all) came to nearly £14! I questioned this and the person at the counter said that was the price for eating-in. Again, a lovely place and staff let down by unforgivable food (at least in our case) and shocking prices.

They used to serve huge sourdough sandwiches when I first discovered this deli. I revisited it the other day and ordered Spinoli (Cream cheese, spinach, olives & sundried tomatoes), and this time the bread was thinner, smaller, what was supposed to be sun-dried tomato was fresh tomato without explanations and the rest of the ingredient didn't live up to expectations for a £4.95 sandwich - A chicken sandwich would probably have been a better value for the same money.
