Story

Operetta is the new Italian on the block. Serving traditional Italian food with a contemporary twist, we don't do gimmicks, just good wine and great wholesome food in a comfortable setting. With a take-away deli serving everything from the humble sandwich to stone-baked pizzas and freshly made pastas. For casual dining, you can choose from a simple Panini to the more extravagant Antipasto Misto or Mediterranean Sea Bass which will leave you with a feeling of life on the Italian Riviera

I've been here quite a lot for meals with friends or my husband. The waiter who serves us a lot is very nice and friendly. The food is lovely & there is a good choice of starters, mains and deserts. On my last visit here I had the caramel shortbread sundae with tablet ice cream and it was amazing. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.
Decent place for lunch. Buffalo chicken wings were so big btw.
Good service, but quite disappointed with the food. Steak pie was excellent but the gravy was too thick and stodgy, and though the exact veg was not specified on the menu it was not what I had expected when it arrived. No dessert menu despite a selection of baked goods at the front of the store, though we were able to walk over and order from there. Servers were friendly, prompt, and helpful without being overbearing, which made the experience better than it might have been.
Was in a few weeks back and loved it, was lucky enough to have been treated to a festive lunch a few days ago. Food and service both great and the family atmosphere that they have is something that is really lacking in most other places in town just now. My only complaint would be the waiting time between us sitting down and ordering, we were left for a good few minutes before our food order was taken but given how busy the place was it was understandable and the fact that we only counted 3 waiting staff it was forgiven. All in a fantastic and unpretentious place to eat, we will be back! Ps a special mention to the gravy with the beef from the Christmas menu, the most delicious I have ever tasted!
Excellent selection of hot and cold food. My fave being the steak and chips. I work round the corner and go pretty much most lunchtimes. Never been let down. Great food and friendly service. Keep up the good work
I've been to this restaurant a few times and can't recommend it enough. The last two times I've had the pizza which is really good and the first time I got lasagne which was also really good. I've been told by others that other meals are great so it's worth putting it on your list of places to check out. They have really nice decor, it's always clean and has a really good atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and helpful with and questions you have.
Absolutely 5 stars. Staff are amazing. In particular Edwina Eddie. She was fantastic. Bit of banter always makes the customers smile. I’d give her a rise if the gaffers reading this. Wee shout out to Lorraine/Lyndsey I think her name was, cheeky double act. Definitely going back.
When in Glasgow I frequent this restaurant quite a lot. They have an extensive range of foods on offer. Although I'm not a vegan I tried a vegan breakfast yesterday and have to say it was delicious! Noticed they have a range of healthy smoothies available, haven't tried one yet but saw some people with them. They looked tasty!!
Menu items are consistently good and the portions and prices are incredible. I came here everyday for lunch while in Glasgow for work travel. The lasagna with chips and curry sauce sounds a bit revolting but is close to perfection and I guess a bit of a death wish health wise
Food not to the standard as it used to be, curry plate always warm but the actual curry cold. Macaroni texture all solid like a brick. Staff lovely but there to eat not make friends.
