"Lower Gate Glamping is an eco glamping site situated in the beautiful and historic town of Battle in East Sussex. With just 2 tents on decks set in over 30 acres of unspoilt and stunning countryside you'll be away from it all whilst still being close to brilliant local amenities. The site is very private and secluded, enjoying incredible views across the Netherfield valley. When staying with us you can soak up the views watching the sun set whilst enjoying the deer run with their fawns or enjoy breakfast remember to pre-order a breakfast before arrival! accompanied by soaring buzzards hunting prey for their young."

We loved our 2 night stay at Lower Gate Glamping. The facilities were great, both within the tents, and outside with clean washrooms, and cooking areas. The hosts supply delicious breakfast materials at a nominal cost; we had leftovers for dinner as well! Great views over Sussex hills, and its a good base to explore the nearby countryside. This was a wonderful way to introduce our little one to some very comfortable camping!
Fabulous two night stay at Lower Gate Glamping. Fully equipped for everything we could possibly need. Absolutely no reason to ever camp once you experience this glamping! Location is perfect to visit many beautiful villages, National Trust and English Heritage properties. We planned on visiting Hastings but ran out of time! The views are stunning and we had fun exploring the woods. There was plenty of room in the tent for all 5 of us when it started to rain but it was a passing shower and it wasn't long before we were back outside on the decking and we sat out there all evening. Loved the fire pit and made obligatory smores the local co-op had marshmallows and kebab sticks!. The hosts recommended some great places to eat and also welcomed us with milk and homemade biscuits. Hopefully there is availability for us to go back!
My family and I spent two lovely nights in the Lavender tent at Lower Gate Glamping. The views were fantastic, Marian and Alan were very welcoming and everything was beautifully set up, the private deck area with bbq had everything we needed. I will be telling all of my friends about Lower Gate Glamping!
What a wonderful experience with lovely hosts and everything you’ll ever need/want to leave all those stresses & strains at home/work. The location is idyllic being set within farmland & fields. With the most wonderful views and great woodland walks. The accommodation exceeded our expectations by far. Set on a large decking area within a very large closed in area which was absolutely perfect for our dog and boys to wear themselves out. The space inside & out side the bell tent was such a great surprise. The comfortable beds and linen was so nice. The decking area with table & chairs to take it all in, over a nice cold beverage. The table & benches was perfect for eating all food we cooked on the gas barbecue. Which had all the crockery, utensils & more than you’ll need. The shower room was perfect & spotless. Our fridge/freezer & washing area was great! I popped into Battle which is literally a very short drive or a little longer walk down the road. A very quirky & quaint high street. The location & accommodation with so much more & the loviest of hosts is just an all round wonderful get away staycation glamping experience.
We had a wonderful weekend stay at this very special place. Everything we needed was provided and more. It was a beautiful site with uninterrupted views of the countryside from the tent and decking; we watched the sunset whilst toasting marshmallows. The private woodland was a treat to explore with our dog. The breakfast hampers were perfect with delicious local produce. There are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby Battle is just a 20min walk but with such a peaceful & well equipped site you may find it hard to leave!
Many thanks to Marian and Alan for being the perfect hosts at this beautiful, idyllic place and for thinking of every little detail to make it such a happy and wonderful stay. The facilities are outstanding loved the hot towel rail!, clean and luxurious. Everything has been created to a very high standard. What a treat to have our own decking area with all we need to hand, complete with fairy lights! The tent was beautiful inside with everything you need and little thoughtful touches. The children loved the lights and my youngest son was over the moon with his tractor bedding! Very thoughtful. The beds were luxurious and comfortable, we had a great nights sleep. Plenty of places to visit nearby. We went to Hastings one day which was fun, but what we enjoyed most was chilling out at the site. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and went home refreshed. We can't wait to come back!
The place is in a beautiful setting, the facilities were brilliant, Alan and Marian are both lovely and will help with anything you need
I didn't glamp, I just walked by on the Public Right of Way footpath!
