Went here today to buy a new water pump. The lady took our original to the workshop and checked it for us. It was working. So she gave us some sandpaper to take away to rub the terminals. Such good service. Would recommend to anyone. Thankyou very much.

After driving up from Devon in our motorhome we discovered we had a cracked sink tap. Excellent on the spot repairs from service centre. Very friendly. Couldnt be more helpful. Happy customers. Thank you very much.

I have known the owner and his family as friends for many years. A family owned business with high standards of customer service. A new workshop with many ramps has been completed in recent years for service and repairs. All the caravans may be viewed during opening hours but they are not under cover. The shop has an extensive range of spares and accessories.

Bought a Caravan from carlisle caravans which closed down, Dumfries caravans owned Carlisle caravans so we had to use them for service and repairs. My Caravan had a damp issue which was reported in October 2016, I took the Caravan to them in November 2016 for diagnosis which is a 80 miles round trip and collected it the following weekend which is another 80 miles. They got approval and the parts were ordered and arrived December 2016. They then got in touch with me to advise that my Caravan was due it’s annual service and booked it in for the end of December 2016. I asked if the warranty work could be done st same time, they said they would see. Took the van in for service 80 miles round trip, got a call to say service was done. I asked if warranty work was done and it wasn’t. No time to do it they said so went to collect the Caravan (80 miles) to find they had left the power on and all the lights flattening the battery. As I need to use the motor mover to park it back in storage I had to leave the Caravan for them to recharge. £320.00 which is very expensive compared to all other dealers to collect my van in a worse state in which I took it. I asked them since I was leaving the van again could they sort the damp problem. They said they will try, I left the van with them for 3 months, called them to see if they had done the work without result even after all the inconvenience. Another 80 miles. No phone calls from them to book the van in so had to ring them in September 2017 they booked me in for the Oct 21st 2017. I’m the meantime we went their to have a look at a new Caravan, seen one we liked and a very uninterested salesman gave us a price to change. We shopped around and managed to get a deal £1500 better and also included a new motor mover. Called them to see if they could match deal they said they would ring back but the most uninterested salesman in the world didn’t. We ended up doing a deal with Preston caravans. We arranged to collect the new Caravan from Preston in the first week of November 2017 giving Dumfries 2 weeks to do the work which involved a seal and one interior board something that would take a few hours. They called me and said it would not be ready in the two weeks I had give them which was ridiculous. I then had to call Preston caravans to ask if they could help and they offered to take over the job. Collected Caravan from Dumfries another 80 miles. So 13 months several trips and then Caravan had been on there premises for 4 months and they couldn’t complete a few hour repair. Expensive, rude and unprofessional outfit.

Good for its accessories it has a very wide range. And of course it sale of motorhomes & caravans extremely helpful staff.
