We've been established for 30 years and we put our success down to adapting with the times and changing ourselves to fit current demands and consistently maintaining our standards. Our motto has always been fast friendly and efficient, which we have striven to be.
We are not viewed as a traditional old fashioned jewellers as such (however we maintain those standards) - More of a trendy jewellery experience so to speak!
We have gone from strength to strength because we believe that jewellery is an extension of our personality. We have developed from a small traditional jewellers and workshop to the best stocked jewellery store around. Over the past 30 years our company has displayed an unbelievable range of elegant, breath-taking and amazing gem set jewellery. All jewellery is made using the finest quality materials and finished to perfection. Alongside our exquisite platinum and gold collection is a huge selection of life enhancing gems set in silver. These crystals not only complement any outfit but are also believed to hold healing properties to improve your physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing.
We are told that the atmosphere along with the famously friendly and efficient service make it a pleasure to shop at Onyx. Onyx Goldsmiths not only holds the key to many traditional and new designs, such as classical gem set jewellery, but also captures a timeless range of bespoke vintage-inspired and second-hand pieces. Our style assistants help our customers to find their statement pieces from hundreds of unique treasures. They come and sample our stunning Cameo range, sported by fashionistas worldwide.
And it’s no secret that our stunning jewellery has been hired to TV shows and fashion shoots. This service has now been extended to all customers and you can hire fabulous jewellery for your special occasions including weddings, cruises, balls, graduations and parties. Make that special occasion even more memorable, whether its jewellery for bride or mother of the bride, sparkling tiaras or fabulous gem set pieces, there are individual pieces for sale or hire to suit everyone.
Our repair service is second to none. We regularly restore jewellery to its former glory. Engagement rings worn out by years of wear can be carefully restored. Wedding rings can be enlarged and worn out patterns can be engraved – you name it we’ll try it, we like a challenge! Are your rings constantly twisting around because your knuckles are much bigger than your fingers? Onyx Goldsmiths have the solution – Kate Middleton utilised this solution recently when presented with Lady Diana’s ring). No job is too big or too small for us, in fact our motto has always been ‘fast, friendly and efficient’.
Your perfect dream ring can be created by our design team who are able to discuss and plan every detail with you from the width, shape, style and choice of stone. All jewellery is made using the finest quality materials and finished to perfection. Within just four weeks, you will take home a quality piece of jewellery which feels like it’s part of you and your personality. Detailed sketches can be provided so you can see what the finished item will look like. Onyx’s craftsmanship and uncompromising service is to the highest international standard and nothing is beyond our capability. For example, one of our customers is a joiner and every year he has a charm of one of his tools made for his wives charm bracelet. Another customer was an ice cream man and his wife had an Neapolitan ice cream tie pin made - using all three colour gold's to represent the different flavours. We have made engagement rings using the couple’s birthstones. Amongst our client base are TV personalities, Noble Prize winners, Pride of Britain winners and more recently on Britain's Got Talent.
