Story

One+ is not your typical Chinese Restaurant. It's not fine dining but at the same time, it's not street food. It is fun and definitely an experience! One+ is a Chinese Hotpot restaurant which entails the customer (you / your party) to cook your own food in your own individual hot pot which will be in front of you. You will pick the food you want to cook off a conveyor belt... similar to Yo! Sushi.

Food on offer includes:

- Fresh Vegetables
- Fresh Meats (some Halal)
- Fresh Seafood
- Others including crab sticks, fish balls, pork luncheon etc.

In total there are over 50 dishes to choose from with 16 types of dipping sauces and condiments to go with your freshly cooked food.

There is also 4 different flavors of stock you can choose from. These are:

- Hot Spicy - (Chinese Style & Most Popular)
- Tom Yum - (Thai Style)
- Chicken - (Not Spicy)
- Vegeterian - (Not Spicy)

There will also be a selection of drinks to choose from too. These include but not limited to:

Soft Drinks

The staff were all super helpful. And having gone by myself to the One+ it was pleasant to sit next to strangers and have the possibility to chat. The basis of One+ is that you are given a choice of broths, a basin of the broth is then placed in a heater in front of you. One can then take ingredients from the conveyer belt and cook them. The three stars for the food is because of the price and quality. There was nothing “bad” but nothing “great”. Ingredients were fresh, but none of the flavours jumped out at me. And the bill for £44 felt excessive for the quality when compared to recent meals out in London and Leeds. This could be down to my amateur attempts at making nice dishes but
Came to try their soup noodles. I was not let down, very authentic and delicious Lanzhou ramen. You can choose whether you want spring onions, coriander or chillies on top of your noodle. The portion is very generous, too much for one person . Beef was very tender and yummy. We tried no.1 and no.3 noodles in broth from the menu . Both are really good. Will definitely visit again to try other things
Honestly SO GOOD! Chinese food is not usually my thing but this place was great. We ordered the beef brisket noodles and the pepper steak with fried rice and neither disappointed. We were very hungry and still couldn’t finish neither of the dishes because they were massive. Good service as well. Will definitely be coming backFood: 5/5
Having had a lovely time at my first Hotpot experience in London, I was excited to be able to go with my family to a different one in Manchester. One Plus Chinese Restaurant offers a DIY hotpot - setup like a sushi train - it was a unique and delightful way to have a yummy dinner with people I care about. I’m a sucker for a sushi train, so being able to be impulsive and grab things that look good was fun. It was a cold, windy Monday night, it even started to hail while we were ordering, so I was grateful to be inside eating delicious, warm, comfort food style eats on a night like that. Between us, we had the Tom Yum, the Chicken and Spicy broths - and I tried some of each and they were all good. I was glad I had the chicken one, but on another night I could have easily picked one of the others. The staff were efficient and polite, and were attentive with drinks and re-stocking the soup. I hit the seafood hard, but had a bit of everything. What really set One Plus apart for me was the sauce station, the range of things there allow you to build a wide variety of flavours and to experiment and build different combinations. The timings on the menu I followed, even setting the timer on my phone for the prawns and seafood, I did the red meats for less - but on the whole it is good and helpful guidance. They had a good range of drinks - alcohol and non-alcoholic, and I embraced the vibe and had a couple of Tsingtao beers and they worked a treat. Can highly recommend it if you’re wanting a casual, fun, shared dining experience. We all enjoyed what we made for ourselves and sharing bites with each other along the way.

I had a very pleasant experience at this hotpot with great customer service, great value for money, and a lovely atmosphere. I found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming. I went there with my partner and we both enjoyed it to the fullest. It was our first time, and the staff made sure we understood the menu and how to prepare each item, and when they delivered the food, it looked delicious and tasted great. I would recommend it highly to anyone. The price is reasonable, and you get a lot for your money.

Great food! Affordable prices depending on how much you eat really. Great soup bases and a wide range of options for vegetarians and vegans. The individual hotpots are great and something I wish more places would do! Good customer service as well.Food: 5/5
I tried the clear broth ramen. The noodles didn’t seem handmade and were quite average, but there was more beef compared to other places. The portion size was quite large. Overall, the taste was average.Food: 4/5
