Lovely powerlifting/weightlifting area in the basement: 3 eleiko and 1 rogue comboracks, and 1 HES comborack. pictured here Squat cages, deadlift platforms, eleiko+rogue calibrated plates for powerlifting. For weightlifting there are blocks, platforms and bumper plates. Second floor also has lots of machines for accessories as well as some more squat cages, bumper plates and a flatbench. There are also changing rooms and toilets.
Old skool hardcore kind of gym but would Definitely go back! Proper powerlifting section in the basement, en-suite kitchen that makes fresh tasty food. Reception explained all areas and was warn and welcoming.
Fantastic gym for powerlifting, body building, personal training sessions and olympic lifting. All the trainers are really friendly as are the people who train here. The gym owner is really hands on and is constantly making improvements and getting new equipment. There are lots of machines and free weights so you rarely have to wait during your workout. The gym is over two levels with a specialist powerlifting area in the basement. Thoroughly recommend for novices and experienced gym goers alike. Starting to lift can be quite a daunting experience, but this gym is the perfect place to get started due to the really friendly atmosphere.
They have things here that you dont often see in other gyms, such as a standing chest press, log lift not actual log like a slater, but the steel ones farmers walk, and even the pullover which you dont often see anymore. Dozens upon dozens of different handle grips for the cables, and Old school plate style york dumbells, and thats just scratching the surface.nThe only things that let it down for me is that it's absolutley freezing and sometimes the tunes are a bit dead! But thats just splitting hairs.nOwner seems like a top guy and theres a shop where you can get supplements if you want, plus a kitchen and well stocked fridges.nNot a lot for cardio in terms of tredmills, cross trainers etc, but its not that sort of gym.nIv been training here about 3 months now and have no reason to want to go anywhere else.
The best gym I ever been, friendly staffnProfessional machines , clean, not overbookednLike others. The ground floor amazingnThe best
