I have always found the Old Town Surgery to be super helpful when they are under enormous pressure. I use a combination of the on line services such as repeat prescription requests and the phone. I would highly recommend them and they still, if you can wait a while, have a named family doctor who knows you and your medical history to a greater extent.  After years of underfunding and lack of investment they are doing remarkably well - thank you team!

I have been with Old Town Surgery for many years. I have recently changed GP in the last few months, as I had lost faith in my previous GP. I have nothing but praise for many of the services I am forced to use. HCA Sue is fab, she checks and takes my blood on a regular basis. Dr Binodh treats one of my issues with care and understanding. Nurse Tracy is a great nurse and I should recognise that as InAm an ex nurse of many years.nToday I had to ring the surgery with a query and the prescription lady dealt with my issue in a kind helpful manner, going out of her way to deal with it. I recently changed surgeries as I wasn’t happy with my previous one. The difference here is remarkable, the receptionists, doctors, nurses, phlebotomists and everyone else are all fantastic. They are friendly, efficient and go above and beyond.

This GP surgery was awful! Now I’ve moved to another GP I’ve been referred to specialists and have been told I never should have been left in this state. One GP told me a medical condition I had was “awful to look at but to get on with it”. I was once left for an hour and a half in a side room waiting because they forgot about me then made me wait another 30 minutes while I was really ill! The GPs just ignored everything I said. The regular GPs are never in. The reception staff are really rude! I wouldn’t recommend this GP practise to anyone!

Amazing care from Dr Barrow and Dr Yemming.nMost of receptionists are lovely. There’s one that’s quite rude and unhelpful but have had great experience with the others. The only thing that I find really tough is unless you call at 8am you can’t get an appointment and my partner and I both have long term health conditions which causes fatigue and I’m in ridiculous amount of pain in the morning. This makes mornings very hard for us and so can’t always call at 8am. I feel there should be a better system for people who have medical conditions that make mornings hard as it is not fair on those that struggle.
