The Old Market Hall is the gem in the crown of Shrewsbuty. This heritage building in the heart of Shrewsbury was constructed in 1596 and has been repurposed since 2004 as a film theatre, café, and licensed bar.
Didn't actually get to visit this venue, but what a beautiful little area of interest. Will definitely be back and explore more
Shared a lovely afternoon with my daughter. A belated Mother's Day time together. Special lunch, followed by a film. Memorable time.
Great venue but boring mainstream films many of which are already shown at Cineworld. Independent cinema? I don't think so. Take a look at Shrewsbury Film Society's programme instead though unfortunately their venue is nowhere near as comfortable. Maybe spend less effort on unhealthy cakes and more on interesting programming? Why not team up with Borderlines down in Herefordshire? Now that would be creative!
I have lived in Shropshire 20 years and this was the first time I had visited The Market Hall. A fantastic intimate film venue. Friendly staff, good coffee, lovely atmosphere and comfortable seats to sit in to watch the film. I will certainly be going again! The Reverend Prebendary Matthew Stafford Team Rector-Wenlock
Superb coffee and cakes. A little cramped when it's busy but that just shows how good and how popular it is. Great place to sit and chat or wait for the cinema show.
Tiny cinema in a historic building in the middle of town. Good café. Very comfortable seats.
Lovely small cinema. Has a cafe and bar. Nice place to go.
Cinema on lovely comfy seats followed by afternoon tea. Great staff and fabulous location right in the middle of shrewsbury Town centre.
Stunning building. Ideal for coffee before a film showing but v limited food wise. More a cake than lunch option venue.
