Just stopped for lunch really impressed. Don't let the name fool you the menu is predominately fish. Although there are 6/7 meat dishes that looked nice too.

Nice atmosphere. The menu choice was excellent. Would especially recommend the scallops starter and mussels main or crab pasta main although I think they change there menus. Staff were very friendly. Smelt delicious in there as soon as we walked in. Great comfy seats too!

Despite the unusual decor, this is a restaurant where the food and particularly the seafood, is of a high quality. Fantastic home made vegetarian gnocchi. Family run and family friendly service . The queen of puddings was a highlight.

Food is great, if you looking for seafood. Not clean, waitress is not nice, didn't say hello, didn't say anything. Bathroom dirty, restaurant itself also not clean.

Just eaten at the Old Butchers. The food was nice but the portion size for the haddock was abysmal. My wife said that two pieces of scampi would have covered the piece of fish I was presented with. £12 for a morsel is not ever acceptable unless you are paying for Michelin Star cuisine.
