October Books is an independent community bookshop based in Southampton. It's a not-for-profit co-operative, which means that the money we make goes back into the business! On our shelves you can find books ranging from the latest novels by well-known authors, classics, children's books and audio books, to a specialized selection of non-fiction books on social and political issues. Anything you can't find? Try our fast-ordering service!
And that's not all! We also sell lovely hand-made greeting cards, organic/fair-trade food and drinks, household items and much more...

Love the old shop, but this one has some character with the old bank features retained! Great selection of books, brilliant suggestions and helpful staff. Only issue is the fiction wall is so tall it's hard to see what's a the top!
I ordered a book for my husband on a Thursday and it arrived by the Friday! A great bookshop and friendly staff. Well worth a visit to Portswood.
This independent bookshop is the BEST. and they sell great chocolate seriously what more could you want. book, chocolate and helpful, knowledgeable staff!
