Been a patient here for 31 years... Used to be good before the practices merged. It is not only general problem with NHS, for instance many people I gave spoken to in other areas do not have these problems. Not only does it take 3 weeks or more to get ab appointment, which will be by phone for issues which really need investigation, but there are numerous mistakes and miscommunication recently which is wasting both theirs and patients time and money.
Seen by a lovely phlebotomist Mandy followed by my new Dr . Dr love was superb and couldn't have been any more helpful. I wish everyone would realise what strain they're under. Having worked as a nurse in a surgery and for a Dr as a nanny I know how hard they work. Such stress has caused numerous Dr's to take their own lives...Be Kind
If you want to wait 3 weeks for an emergency appointment then register here. This place fills their slots by 8:40 each day for emergencies and says to call 999 or 111. Rude staff and not willing to help. Called 2 days in a row before 8:45 got told the same thing. Advised to call 111 who then say we need to call our surgery. Not sure what I pay tax for as I can’t get any help for my child when needed.
I always find the practice is great and all the medical staff excellent, I feel very lucky to have Oakley Health my local surgery and the standard has always remained high the 28 years I have been a patient.
Not even worth 1 star!! Absolutely terrible you can never get an appointment reception are rude!! even when you do a e consult sometimes you don't even get a response!! Or they text to say they has past it on to a pharmacy yet this is a reoccurring problem. It seems like all they want to do is palm it of to anyone else pharmacy's 111
I went in today to get my blood pressure taken, this was the first time visiting the surgery, I wasn't sure I was in the right place as there are no signs That I could see but when i went in it was spacious, clean and the receptionist was friendly, welcoming and kind.
Used to be so good when it was Monteagle Surgery but now so poor. The doctors are still good but the administration is terrible. My wife went to them with suspect gall stones last week and she needed basics such as urine tests, blood tests and a scan. They couldn't organise any of it and she is now in Frimley Park a few days later with much bigger problems, this sums it all up now, I'm afraid
They're great. If you're experiencing a diminution in service then it's for two reasons. Firstly a Tory government deliberately underfunding healthcare and a crushing staffing shortage. Secondly, Sandhurst Group Practice which is completely inadequate and has been put in special measures. If you want to experience awful, careless, thoughtless healthcare then try Sandhurst. The villagers of Sandhurst have been through the mill. In comparison Oakley is frankly, efficient, personable and caring. Because of this Sandhurst Residents are moving to Oakley in some attempt to access healthcare. It's a crisis.
Service has gone from bad to worse! Its almost impossible to get appointment with the GP...and when you so called get one, it's a Telefon appointment which the doctor never calls. This surgery needs to be investigated because lots of things don't add up.
Appalled by service for my Mum. My mum has ongoing issues with her ears, contacted surgery via econsult was informed she would receive a call in 3 weeks! My mum telephoned them waiting for 40 minutes on hold to eventually be told by reception that her issue is not urgent enough to see GP and to go see an optician as they can check her ear....!!! Most surgeries are now seeing patients face to face , but our surgery is failing to meet patients needs in my opinion.
