I stayed here about 2 years ago and it was ok, I was back in Montrose last week for a couple of days and stayed back here. I found the ownership had changed hands and the new owners are really making a difference, the welcoming was real Scottish hospitality, the room was very clean and comfy and the breakfast was fantastic.  The new owners are working their way through the place updating the décor etc and it is making a big difference.
I was very pleased with my stay and will happily return and even more happily recommend it to friends and family and believe me thats rare for me to do. 

Many thanks Oaklands and I look forward to returning again in the near future.

The most unwelcomeing and arrogant owner of a bed and breakfast I have ever come across. Food is atrocious and to be perfectly honest the whole place looks like it hasn't been decorated in fifty years. Would not recommend to anybody!
