We stopped at Oak Cottage Lovely cottage and really pet friendly. We had a few problems with the front door lock - we reported it and within 5 minutes someone was there. The problem did happen again but we managed to sort it. Another thing is there is no plug for the basin which I found a bit weird. Apart from that we really enjoyed our stay, nice, warm and quiet. So glad I have booked it for next year. The pub over the road does lovely food and is dog friendly.
I had the pleasure of staying at oakcliff for a long weekend in September 22. I stayed in the osprey plus mini lodge, Wow what fantastic accommodation, pure luxury with the added bonus of a private hot hub and a decking area complete with picnic bench tucked away out of sight of everyone else on the park. Everything you could need was provided in the lodge. Dishwasher and coffee pod machine were Unexpected bonuses. I really didn't want to leave. The park is very quiet and well kept. We didn't use the facilities provided at ladys mile because we didn't want to leave our luxurious surroundings and spent most of our time in and around the hot tub. The hot tub was checked and maintained daily. Very clean accommodation and any staff we did encounter were very polite and friendly. I can not wait to return.
Great location for a walk to Dawlish Warren. Very quiet with no entertainment on offer, you have to travel to the sister site Ladys Mile for any. One large pool with a smaller pool for young children. Lovely friendly staff at the pool. It's only open for a certain amount of time. Nice caravans, had the use of one with a hottub, caravans had tiny corridors, fresh and clean.
We stayed in a lodge with a hot tub. Although I wouldn’t say it was quite like the lodges we have previously stayed in. More like a caravan which is fine if it was advertised as this. It was very clean and tidy and lovely interior within the ‘lodge’. We stayed mon-fri, and didn’t have any hot water working, every time we wanted it we had to call maintenance to come and fiddle with the boiler to get it to work temporarily before it then went off again, and apparently no one available to sort it properly before our stay came to an end?! Not what you pay so much money for. Especially when you can hardly get hold of maintenance and they take hours. The location is lovely right next to the beach and pubs. You also get to use the facilities of the sister park down the road which is great. Lovely outdoor pool and park for the kids. There was a lot of building work happening right outside our lodge on the one opposite but luckily we were out most of the day to ignore this otherwise this would have been awful. Hot tub wasn’t private as such - very over looked and fence never completed to the wall so massive gap for people to see. Again, you pay extra for privacy with a hot tub! I’ve never left a review on something before when it’s negative as I don’t like being that person but I feel this is essential so no one will be as disappointed as us especially for the price.
Really quiet and spotlessly clean site. We stayed in Oak cottage. Like a home from home, with a small gated private outside area so no need to worry about the pooch or being spotted in the hot tub which was checked meticulously by the site team twice a day parking for two vehicles. 10 min walk to the shops, beach and train station. The cottage had everything you could need and more. Truly the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on, super clean, well equipped and plenty of space -a perfect way to chill after a day of seaside madness. We have visited Dawlish Warren lots but the first stay here, we will definitely be back soon
Spotlessly clean. Staff amazing when my husband was taken unwell on our day of departure Holly and the maintenance and house keeping staff went way beyond expectation moving us to another lodge and offering assistance until we could travel. Thank you all againRooms: 5/5
