Every time vans go in for repair they re hire you another van and then like to string our the repair for as long as they can. Communication seems to be terrible. I've witnessed staff calling people to let people know their van is ready but the customer has already collected. Phones never get answered if you chase up repairs when you do speak to anyone they give plenty of excuses. I went down in person to check progress and they said they were waiting for parts. These parts were not essential so I said can I take the van away and come back when they have the parts. Next thing they said oh the parts are here and they've been fitted and it's ready for collection. Seems they like to leave you with the extra hire van for as many days as possible. That's how it seems anyway.
Very surprised at the lack communication from such a well established company. Plenty staff at desks in main reception area but all from the past several visits seem preoccupied with other matters. Taken van in for diagnostic. Work shop personnel identified the problem verbally and hand key back to myself. Van under warranty. Left 10 minutes later due to lack of reception staff or any instruction of future works. Background staff aware of my presence at the counter but remained unwilling to acknowledge me. Rang 6 days later to enquire on update of warranty work schedule. Day later I had a reply. Van booked in and work completed the same today. However I sat in the waiting room for 20 minutes on collection time before I 'actually' had to ring the web site number to gain any information on progress. No answer. In the word's of our dear friend Bricktop 'FACKING AMATEURS' 16 hours later I'm back sitting in reception. Same fault. Total of 15 hours of work time lost.
Van went in 4repair after 4 weeks got it back 1 week later same problem took it back got replace ent after sitting for 4 hrs then got my van back after 2 weeks on the Saturday the following Tuesday surprise suprise it went again same fault then when I got it back again it lasted 3hours now I picked it up last Friday today same problem. Cost me 3 times too change policy over 200 quid and loss ov earnings nearly 1000pound in total
Northgate.....an absolute joke. Van hire.....the backbone of a business. Booked in last Friday for 9am this morning Monday, tailgate repair on our vehicle.....as usual a lengthy delay as no-one had done any paperwork. Received a call from our driver who was there at 9 to pick up a replacement vehicle saying that we had not been booked in. This is not a one off....... Customer service is definitely not their priority...... 10:30am, driver still waiting !!!
Driving license didn't match bank statement so couldn't get the van. Fair enough maybe my fault. But no refund allowed. Went to another van hire place with absolutely no problems!
Good as a whole, but sometimes can take a while to get vehicles back from repairs
always easy to deal with this company, and alwaysdeal with the issue without question
