Visited this archive a few years back. Staff helpful but reading room very old fashioned. Concerned that they are only open one Saturday a month and are changing this to a half day. Most family history researchers can only make Saturdays if they work. Add to this the decision to only open for a half day on Saturdays from September makes you wonder if they  want people to use the service. I also understand that they intend to charge visitors £31.50 for a half day research, presumably on Saturdays. Not exactly providing a good
 service

Have made many virtual visits and a lengthy real visit, and over several years have found the staff to be very helpful and friendly ... and the records held have been excellent for my research of Watford parish.
