I had an appointment with Sarbjit for a work focused interview, she was brilliant, very helpful, knowledgeable and professional, supportive and emphatic toward my condition which made my experience less stressful than I expected and I left feeling encouraged and happier than when I went in. She's a credit to the employment service and a keeper.
I have just spent an hour and a half with my sponsee from Ukraine in the job centre. We arrived early and were seen almost immediately. Staff were polite and friendly. We were looked after by Gill who couldn’t have been nicer or more understanding and the little boy with us was given some crayons and a drawing book to keep him happy. Everything was done thoroughly and everything explained making sure my sponsee understood. We had been due to see someone else but they were I’ll do I was telephoned that morning and asked if I would mind an earlier appointment. What a great experience. Thank you!
I don’t know where they find the advisors from but they have no training whatsoever. I had an advisor who was extremely patronising and had to complain to get a different advisor as going there was causing me anxiety. The new advisor wasn’t any more helpful. A million of intrusive questions, overly long appointments with no outcome. These are the people that are supposed to be helping you get your business off the ground but what can a person with no relevant experience or training can actually help. The suggestions they give are ridiculous and just shows that they have no knowledge about running a business at all eg. Asking if we can pay less to our staff to reduce expenses ‍. First time on UC because of new business that needed just a little bit of help from the government after paying taxes all my life. The service is a joke and the treatment you get makes you feel like an inadequate individual that should be ashamed of yourself. I hope I’ll never have to deal with this again.

This job centre has a very poor understanding of GDPR. Certain members of staff and G4S security do not understand that the public need their mobile phones to scan bar codes for jobs. And as for data breaches of the publics personal information it looks as if a few heads will roll.

Absolutely ridiculous I’m sick I have a sore throat so I’ve brought a bottle of water with me as I have a tickle cough.But no your not aloud to bring a bottle of water in there because they don’t know if it’s acid or not they said ACID !! Are they for real the world has gone mad . Now how am I to trust them to drink my water after this I don’t even trust them I don’t want the water back now .
I worked at the job centre for 8 weeks as a volunteer and enjoyed every minute of every day. The staff are friendly and helpful and 99.9% of the customers were grateful for the help that the centre provided for them. I have always found the staff very supportive towards me in helping to find a new job.
They haven’t got a clue in how/ what assistance someone with mental/physical health conditions need. Useless
Helpfull, but where are TOILETS!!!!!!! So many people with health conditions etc. By the time u get Grosvenor and back- 20 min at least. Very disappointed .
