Got order wrong we completely got a different order to what we ordered. Very rude when I took the food back wouldn’t give us our money as they over charged so much. When we did finally get what we ordered the food was so horrible.
Visiting the area on business I came upon this chippy, thought I'd give it a try, what can go wrong with a chippy?nSadly a lot, the fish wasn't cooked, the batter was wet and soggy and the chips were not proper chip shop chips, as you'd expect, but appeared to be cheap supermarket own brand fries with lots of ends and scraps and the prices higher than back home.nIf I'd seen this is what they were serving I wouldn't have ordered tbhnI don't think the oil was hot enough to fry the fish, hence uncooked and wet soggy batter and the chips were very poor.nSadly time I'd opened the box of drudge I was many miles away in my hotel or I would have returned and told/shown them how disappointing the food was.nShame as the staff were polite, the place looked tidy and clean.nLesson learnt and money wasted, in future I'll stick to where I know fish n chips are decent.
Advertise Indian but no longer serving Indian. We ordered for 7 people and waited around 30 minutes for it. Poor for a chippy. Food was nice though. Has a better reputation than our experience. Maybe they were just having a bad day. Seem rushed off their feet with not many customers
Absolutely disgusting and disappointing! After not visiting the nippy Chippy for a couple of years I was surprised to have this experience. £20 of food went straight in the bin. Chips had been sat there all day by the looks of them and the cod was no bigger that a child’s hand, barely any cod smothered in greasy soggy batter.nThe Chicken kebab meat was microwaved and chewy. Such a shame, won’t be going back
As well as great chips, Nippy Chippy also offers great curries. We ordered North Indian Specialities as part pf the Meal for 2 Deal and thoroughly enjoyed them! Keep up the good work!
