Should never had demolition nearly all of the station years ago, just one platform no buildings, but see they are doing a few things there now another platform, a roof. Was a disgrace for more than 40 years welcome to Newquay as they step down from the train, saw coming into Newquay by 125 on the last day of 125s in operation in the far west that hundreds of new houses are there so need a proper railway train station not just something you see in old cowboy films Probably won't be any heated waiting rooms like were there 60 years ago, just a bus shelter no ticket office but it as in improved since going to newquay in the last 45 years
Newquay station is a one platformed and is very busy station look at the photo below. The atmosphere is ok and there are two shops/restaurants at the back of the station. The station is operated by GWR and they run all of the train services at the station with trains going to Par and sometimes Bristol Parkway. It is a great place for holidays with lots of sunny beaches especially in summer! Not a bad station for when you want a great, scenic town!
Newquay is a lovely seaside town with plenty to see and do for all ages. The town has a great atmosphere with lots of shops, cafés, restaurants, and places to explore, whether you are visiting for a day trip or a longer holiday. Everything feels close together and easy to walk around, which makes it a really enjoyable place to spend time.nnOne of the best things about Newquay is the beautiful coastline and beaches. The beaches are clean, scenic, and perfect for relaxing, walking, or surfing. There are some fantastic views around the town, especially near the harbour and along the coastal paths. Even just sitting with a coffee and looking out to sea is worth the visit.nnThe town also has good transport links, including a train station, which makes travelling in and out very convenient. There are plenty of cafés and places to eat, with lots of choice whether you want a quick snack, ice cream, or a proper meal overlooking the sea.nnOverall, Newquay is a fantastic place to visit with a friendly atmosphere, stunning beaches, and plenty to keep you busy. A great destination for families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing break by the coast.
