Lovely town/village. Friendly people. Great Fish and Chips.nBreakfast at The Bunch of Grapes was perfect.nNice walk around the Old Castle ruins, no admin fee.nWill definitely visit again.
Quaint little ruin, not very big but a lot of information about it's history and lovely riverside walks. Certainly worth a visit if you are in the area, it's free to look at you just pay to park in the local carpark.
A small ruin, but well worth a visit. There are information boards that tell you about the history of the castle and the surrounding area. There are plenty of benches and bins. There is parking nearby. There is a very short walking path by the water. A lovely area. A good location, easy to find in town.
This is one of the few castles in West Wales to be built by the Welsh out of stone, it was built around 1240 and although only ruins left to be seen, it's still so nice to have something of such historic significance still standing to visit. It overlooks the river Teifi and there's a small circular walk around the castle where you'll pass the weir, and the beautiful sheep in amongst the countryside. Parking is 90p for the hour and literally a stones throw from the castle grounds.
Great old ruins of allegedly the first stone built castle in Wales, and the scene of the slaying of the last dragon! 90p for an hours car parking just outside the grounds. Along with the castle is a short circular walk along the river with a nice low weir at the end. Little picnic site too so all in a very nice area.
