Went to Newarke Houses museum for a talk about a famous son Daniel Lambert and also had time to visit the displays. I really enjoyed the realistic trenches from ww1
Went there when I was younger on a school trip and found it fascinating with the local history . Its very quite around the area with a lot of seating areas !
Kieran was really helpful at the desk and went out of his way for us, have been a few times and it's a good place to visit, my daughter who is 6 enjoys looking at everything here.
Great museum. I have been visiting for over 60 years. Very professional and helpful staff - particularly the gentleman on reception.
If you like old things, walking and especially if you like doing them at the same time. There's a good probability that you're going to like doing both here... Ralph.
Quiet place to learn about local social history. Helpful staff. Lovely garden. A gem. It might be different if school visit descended but a great first visit for me.
