Nice cosy little traditional pub. We had mums funeral wake there just a few days ago, the manager and his staff were all very welcoming and the buffet was lovely and set up nice. Mum and Dad used to go here very often and always said the food was delicious. Highly recommend, the food and hospitality is excellent.Service: 5/5
Had Sunday lunch there this weekend. The food and service were both excellent. We both had Yorkshire pudding starters which were home made and perfect followed by roast lamb dinners which again were spot on. The roast potatoes were obviously freshly cooked and of very good quality. Only slight criticism would be that the broccoli was a bit over cooked but overall a good meal and good value for money.
Just visited the new masons arms lovely country feel staff was amazing unfortunately didn't get the lady with long pony tails name but she was brilliant with me and my children food was amazing had the ultimate burger, steak pie,ham and eggs and was so nice will definitely be going againService: 5/5
We went on Sunday and took my parents. We have been going to New Masons for many years, and it's always been nice. Two of us had Sunday roast, which was very good. Two had the steak pies, which sadly have changed from the usual shortcrust topping to a puff pastry. They were also far too salty for us. That said , we will go again because we have been there so many times and usually it is very good. It was just a bit of a shame on this occasion it wasn't up to the usual standard.
It's a proper pub . Proper hand pulled ale . The staff are friendly and up for a bit of banter . It's such a nice change from the bars that churn out poor fizzy beer .
Awesome food, great staff. Real Ale served properly. Fan for lifeService: 5/5
Lovely reception! Yorkshire people are friendly. Traditional pub with parking at the rear. Busy and good atmosphere on the Friday and Saturday that I stayed there. If you're visiting from afar, ordering a drink at the bar, ask for "a pint of Landlord", it's a thing.Rooms: 4/5
Absolutely lovely pub with real fires, serving traditional pub food and doing it very well. Very friendly staff, great food, selection of real ales and all at good value. Highly recommended.Service: 5/5
Decided on a whim to stop here for a bite to eat. I'm really glad we did, as soon as we entered we were greeted & seated by a friendly young lady who took our drink orders good selection of wines larger & ales & gave us a menu. We ordered a full English breakfast available all day & a portion of fresh salmon with mash & veg. Both arrived promptly. The portions were a good size hot & freshly cooked using very good ingredients. Absolutely delicious. I can highly recommend a visit to this lovely pub we will be returning.
Good selection of food at reasonable prices. Update, seems to have gone downhill as on the latest visit the service was disorganised leading to us leaving and going elsewhere.Service: 1/5
