Good local cafe that does a reasonable variety of set breakfast and lunch options all around £7-9.00. Staff are friendly and generally happy to accommodate customisations. Probably not the best for Vegans but great for everyone else. Vegetarians should get a good meal here.
My Company orders lunch from New Local cafe. The quality of delivered food has decreased during the year. 1 I ordered panini with chicken & pesto. It was delivered completely cold, and dry. No salad on a side. Not enjoyed. 2 Few times I ordered salad - was forced to eat it without salad dressing, as i MUST INFORM that i want salad dressing on a side, otherwise they will deliver the salad without it. 3 Next time, I asked for salad dressing - get OLIVE OIL! It is like a joke. What is the point to write that salad comes with salad dressing? Unfortunately, our office orders food from this cafe - so on cold&rainy days I have not choice. Really disappointing. AVOID.
Just came to do some plumbing work from other side of the London. I swear I never had that good breakfast in whole SW area. Really satisfying beginning of the day.
Traditional English cafe fare with superb Turkish cuisine to boot. Great service, prices and portions.
Excellent place for breakfast! Great place! I often go in for full English breakfast and sometimes for lunch and found great food, choice, value for money and hardworking friendly staff. The waitress at times even points out a better value for money option from the wide-ranging menu. My poached eggs were perfect and the service was fast. Good setting too; at that time of day at least. Located opposite East Finchley Station I would say couple of minutes walk.
This place is just the BEST! The staff are funny and very sociable, they joked around with us and we had a great breakfast because of it. The Full English breakfast is HUGE!!! My partner couldn't finish it, I was struggling to down it all too. It was all very delicious .
Stopped by here for breakfast recently, the sausages were vile, and incredibly over priced for the quality. The coffee was the worst coffee I've ever drunk, the coffee shot was awfully over extracted and the milk was burnt, to the point neither me nor my friend could drink it and had to pour it away. All in all the biggest waste of money I would not recommend.
My family loves this cafe and have been going there for years. The staff are very friendly. Not much on the menu for me nowadays as I am a vegan I'll either have a jacket potato or the penna arrabiata bit my sister loves the burgers and milkshakes and my mum loves the kebabs Edit: as of October 2018 they have added 2 vegan options to the menu - a Mexican style bean burger and vegan quorn sausages
Good atmosphere, friendly helpful staff, very reasonable prices and substantial servings. Just right for a New Local Cafe. It's actually not new: it's just that they moved from their former site where they were called the Local Cafe. Just over the road from East Finchley station, so very conveniently placed. I have used it many times.
Very friendly and helpful staff, will go out of their way to adjust the meal to your liking. They have daily specials the fresh cod on Fridays is the best ever and prices are not expensive. We eat there often!
