Lovely cafe and shop. Very poor service and extreme waiting times. Tables all littered with dirty dishes not being cleared. Its nkt that the staff dont care, they are all working very hard but not enough to cope with the numbers visiting. So glad i had some sandwiches in reserve for kids but disappointed we didnt manage lunch an ice cream or even a coffee. Please do something to improve it as its such a great place.
Had a Tuna sandwich and it was the worst sandwich I have ever had it was so dry I had to leave it. I had as a takeout so could not be bothered to return for a refund. The coffee was only half full Also £8 plus was such a waste no wonder it was empty
Great service minimal menu but tasty food Vegetarian options: Wasn't advised about any vegetarian options.
It's good here. The Pizzas are superb, the selection is good. Only downside is it is often understaffed. The staff are great, just need a better till and more of them. They also run out of things too often. It's a good option both for sitting in and taking out, and they allow dogs. Good but room for improvement. Wheelchair accessibility: Good ramp and loft, plenty of room for a wheelchair.
Waited about 40mins to get a cheese and fresh tomato pizza, it came and it was just cheese..so they took it back waited another 10mis and got handed my pizza..came back to my room in the hotel and when I opened the box this is what I found....couldn't go back as I'm on crutches and was in a lot of pain or I would have thrown it at the girl that made it...she actually took the cheese pizza added tomatoes to it and put it back in the oven..hence a burnt pizza. Not Happy.....
Travelled an hour to get to the cafe after picked up my 90 years old mum.We were told at 15.20 that all hot food stopped at 15.00.I advised how long we had travelled and was told there were sandwiches.There was only 1 packet left.We had to leave and go elsewhere. No where on the website did it say no hot food after 15.00 also opening time on website says 17.00 and both shop and cafe shut at 16.00.Very disappointing.
I left my phone at this lovely cafe recently and didn't realise until I was hundreds of miles away. The staff I spoke to couldn't have been more helpful and very kindly posted my phone to me. It arrived safely having been carefully wrapped in padding in a strong box. Thank you so.much for all your help. Ps the cafe was great too!
Cafe states it is open till 4:30. However, cashier had cashed up the ice cream till so there was no ice cream at 4:15. No ice cream in the fridge either. Whilst I understand staff my want to rush home, if the opening times state 4:30, maybe that should be followed or update the closing hours to 4:15?? Currently, off to Morrison’s to pick some up :
The cafe at New Lanark mill is large and has a good selection of refreshments and food, including teas, coffees, lattes, soft drinks, cakes, scones, pies, soups and more. There is also a very large gift shop next door. Everything is wheelchair accessible and there are toilets.
