Amazing vegan food, we love the Singapore noodles & the deep fried tofu in curry sauce! Have ordered loads of times and tonight was the first time we had any problem. We phoned up and it was dealt with so quickly and professionally! Would definitely recommend
Exceptional service! Had a very small issue with Just Eat so had to order over the phone. Super fast service/delivery on a Friday evening Food fantastic again. I rarely do reviews but this place was definitely worth making the effort first thing on a Saturday morning. About to eat what’s left for breakfast. Thank you, Jonathan S., Lancefield Q. Update: Just out of interest I looked at one of the very few negative reviews that had been left and I have to say that while the odd bad day’s inevitable in a service/hospitality industry environment like everywhere else if your plan is to damage a small business in this way and very obviously do exactly the same to multiple other restaurants in Glasgow very questionable - it might be an idea to check the just eat reviews first before making yourself look like a proper idiot. This place has excellent positive reviews from what’s predominantly a Glasgow crowd with a small percentage of tourist opinion mixed in. If this was truly a 1 star place it wouldn’t last a month. Glasgow consumers would, en masse, tell the truth very quickly and loudly indeed. If there’s a genuine issue then talk to the guys running the place. Don’t go out of your way to dishonestly and cack handedly ruin a business.
Food was prepared very quickly and was piping hot when I collected it. Free prawn crackers and fortune cookie was a nice gesture but my Kung Pao chicken was not nice. It was like spicy chicken stock thickened with cornflour. Not the usual fruity spicy flavour associated with the dish. However, I also got curry chips and these were very tasty and very large portion. The staff are also very nice.
After using this local restaurant for years, the time has come to go elsewhere. The standard has been slipping for some time now and after our last meal, enough is enough. Can't follow simple instructions, food is blatantly reheated and when you have the audacity to call and question them, you are met with vitriol and aggression on the phone. If you want fresh food and accurate orders, I'd suggest going elsewhere.
Service was brilliant, but the meals left alot to be desired. Sweet and sour pork was tough and terrible flavour, chicken and cashew nuts contained very little meat and little flavour. The side included in the cost of the main was 70% of the dish. Totally disappointing!
This is one of the worst Chinese we’ve ever had the displeasure of wasting good money in. Salt n pepper chicken had lettuce through the pale rotten chicken that tasted foul & the egg fried rice was stodgy with the same foul smell. The entire meal worth £30 went straight down the toilet where it belonged Steer clear of this manky wee hole of a place.
This restaurant is so bad compared to other Chinese restaurants. I ordered chow main noodles and it came like soup noodles. Plus, it was not fresh. I felt like they sent me an old prepared chow main. I called the restaurant in after receiving my order to explain the situation. Then, the lady was trying to turn it on me by saying you might have made a mistake when ordering and started giving me excuses. She did not even say sorry.
I used to come here quite often mostly when the park bar had closed for the night. The food can be a hit or miss most often it's a miss with the food often looking like sloppy re heats from several days previous. Chicken chow mien contains so much chicken it can fill a tablespoon no joke. In the past I've seen the service staff can get into arguments with customers where on a regular basis you see shouting matches. Best advice would be to avoid this place. As forest gump once said life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your going to get, this place is very much like that.
A great Chinese I would definitely recommend. Has the usuals - including those which aren't technically Chinese food which are just made for a UK pallet they're awesome - along with some more authentic dishes. It has a menu in Chinese which you'll see on the street outside with lots of proper Chinese dishes for the many Chinese students studying at nearby Glasgow Uni - although if you can't read Chinese and still want to order from the authentic Chinese part of the menu you may need to ask for assistance! Whilst perhaps not authentic their Salt & Chilli Chicken Balls are great. They could do with making their salt and chilli chips quite a bit crispier as we found them quite soggy and had to cook them more at home to firm them up... All in all though a great restaurant - wish it were open more!
Absolutely disappointed first and last time I will ever order from this restaurant again. Portions for the money is scandalous. Then I call up and complain and the lady told me that they have this business for 35 years and never received any complaints about their portions.. Never again
