as I walked the street looking for my first atm to review, I spotted this little puppy. It is attached as you would expect to the building society, which in turn is located conveniently close to Iceland and a pharmacy a few steps away. There is room to park outside on the double yellow lines. In terms of surroundings, the general approach is good, with ample lighting and a busy road behind stopping would be rear based atm compromises. You are however open to a "drive by" so don't drop your guard. The path is quite narrow and when the machine is busy it can be difficult to get the queue aligned correctly. I recommend queing south for views of long eaton. After just an 11 minute queue it was my turn. Although the street cctv on the lampost behind was welcome, I still placed my hand over the keypad before tapping in my secret pin. The keypad itself had a slight delay and lacked the force feedback of some designs but 2 went in quite well with a beep. The 8 was a little tricky as it was partially obscured by foreign matter. This is usually vomit, kebab or some other material. I find it is easy to remove with a little spit and a scrape off with a fingernail. The remaining 2 and 0 were a breeze. After security, the general manner of the machine was fair. Instructions and options were polite and not overly fussy. If I had 1 criticism it was the overly push attempt to have me decline the advice slip. I'll take that advice slip. Yes sir. Everytime. my balance skip was printed and I was given the option of more services . I declined as I felt uncomfortable with others waiting to use the atm. My card was returned with a thank-you message. This made the difference for me. Overall a pleasant visit to an atm. I spent 14 minutes on this trip and they flew by. I hope the others in the queue enjoyed it as much as I did . Would I go again. You bet! I can't wait to explore all those other services on offer!
