My Branch of the Nationwide Building Society in Whitley Bay has always fostered a welcoming environment and the staff always listen to what you say and will go the extra mile to resolve the issues you present them with. It's always a pleasure to go to the Branch and conduct business.

Amazing outstanding service to help make an appointment when they were full so my son who is autistic could open his bank account today. They wished him a happy birthday as they opened up this morning, offered him a hot drink, got him a birthday card and a happy birthday balloon. I think that is more than 5 star service really isn’t it. Siobhan and Jade were instrumental in making it really special and I am humbled ... my bank account will be moving very soon too ! Thank you.
Interest rates are generally good, but the staff, including the manageress are unfriendly and unhelpful. They made a mistake with an account but were unwilling to help put things right. I really would not recommend this bank as I lost money through their incompetence.

Only interested in helping customers who have 50k in thier accounts. Any other request for change etc is too much to ask for
