Staff perfectly helpful and friendly when I visited. No queues and fully staffed desks 2 windows at this branch.
Refused to accept my old passport as photographic ID even though it still has 7 months left to run. When I told them I was now going to change banks and put in a complaint I was told to leave the bank or they were phoning the police. I’ve been with the Midland and now the HSBC for well over 30 years and this is the way I was treated.
Terrible branch. Badly ran. Hsbc as a whole are frustrating. I've now left and joined natwest. You hsbc whitley bay staff should pop along to natwest to see how good customer service works.
Really basic building. Pens don't work, have leaflets up that are half a year out of date... And I'm trusting these people with my money. Really bad branch, avoid if possible, long queues with very minimal staff.
Ran down bank. Poster from 6 months ago on the wall. No pen on the side just a shell of where one was. Queue time is terrible. Overall randown place. Will be closing soon like the North Shields branch did if it carries on.
Terrible they told me the wrong thing twice
Why do they close so early. It's so annoying. Most other stores are open normal hours ‍
Staff are helpful yes there are she's and it's slow but it's the bloody uk every flipping banks the same
Impossible to contact HSBC by phone - no reply for hours on end. Appalling customer service. AVOID!
