I see this organisation as the modern day equivalent of the highway robber. I spent last year on average £1400 overdrawn. Cost me over £240.
My Instant access savings account paid £0.66, yes 66p on £1000 balance all year. 
When I realised they pay 0.1% for savings I went into branch to move the £1000 into my current account. 
Incredible they can pay 0.1% on savings yet charge about 200 times that for an arranged overdraft. 
Their in branch employee even asked why I was moving it. Of course the real question was why had they not suggested moving it before. 
The answer is as while hiding behind the cloak of being mutual and decent, they are making hundreds of millions a year and paying their executives and directors colossal salaries. They are just in it for what they can make like all the banks are

What a disgrace dealing with the bank, after opening the account online, they did a credit search and approved the application and asked to submit id in swindon head office branch which was done. after that still chasing and the customer care does not have a clue whats happening.

I have been a member of Nationwide Building Society for over 20 years. Recently I have noticed many unprofessional activities among the Branch staff in Cheadle in Stockpot, which I decided to report them to the Natiowide Customer Services. At 8.30 exactly I dialed the telephone number given to me by a lady member of staff in Manchester Market Street Branch yesterday afternoon. At 10.30am after tow hours waiting I finally got through some one in Scotland. I explained in full details what has happened and why i am calling them at this time of the day. The customer manager at the end of long conversation refused to help and even refused to give me his full name, the position he has with my Building Society and a reference number for my complain. I never experienced such a unprofessional and lack of care.
