I have been a customer at nationwide for many years and never has any issues on my account. I reported an issue and was put through to 'Joanne' and was very patient and provided excellent customer service and I am very thankful to her. Thank you again Joanne
Excellent customer service today. Having just used an HSBC cash machine which had debited our account without issuing any funds, we dashed to this Nationwide branch to report what had happened. The person who served us was so helpful, immediately reporting what had happened and requesting that HSBC return our money. It was a complete contrast to the rude treatment we had just received at HSBC whose staff couldn't give a toss that their cash machine was faulty and had stolen our money!
What amazing staff, and believe you me my requests have not been easy. The time and patience shown was was fantastic, so thanks again to all the staff at the Market street branch Manchester.
Worthless organization. All that needs to be said , if I where you and I had a problem with them just report them to ombudsman. They are having a joke with your money acting like they can just hold it like they are on some tyrannical trip. 3 weeks leaving the country and my account is still locked what a joke of an organization just sell yourself already .
I cannot thank the Nationwide team at this branch enough for helping me with my banking. They stayed past their closing time to help me resolve a transaction - they really went above and beyond and care so much for their customers. The ladies who helped me are a great asset for the company and this should be acknowledged. Thankyou
Wanted to open a new bank account with them and came to this branch to verify my ID. I had my passport etc with me but they needed proof of address which I had as a PDF, so I asked the bloke "Do I literally need to print them off the internet and bring em to you?" and he said "Yes". So I quickly go to Rymans and get them printed for £6 and pop back at the branch. I got served by a girl this time, and she said "We can't accept printed bills of the internet". So all in all, didn't verify my account and made me pay £6 for a bunch of useless bills. Absolutely fuming.
I've heard people can have bad experiences trying to get statements printed or stamped by their bank's local branch when they're needed for a VISA application or the bank staff claim that downloaded electronic statements are sufficient currently the rules are that technically they need to be printed by the bank or printed by yourself and stamped by the bank. I went in today Saturday 06/11/21 around half an hour before closing time and asked if I could have statements printed for a VISA application. After waiting a minute or two, the lady asked a few questions and I clarified what statements I needed. She then went ahead and printed out all the statements and stamped all the pages as well which gave a lot of peace of mind. I had asked for more statements than are normally provided in branch normally they provide 3-6 months of statements unless you order them. The lady helpfully provided as much as she could and advised me on how I might be able to obtain what was unavailable at the time e.g. an interim statement which covered the period between my last statement and today to avoid having to wait until my next monthly statement. She remained humble whilst acknowledging she doesn't know the visa process and offered whatever solutions were available for my situation depending on how long I could wait and left it to my discretion to pick from the options which is appreciated as it takes a long time to get familiar with the immigration rules. Hope the great level of service today continues. Also the machines here are great for doing a bunch of things automatically e.g. cashing in cheques.
Wanted to make an appointment with my local Nationwide and they could only fit me a month later. Phoned Nationwide market st on the same day and told me to come down a sorted out my bond on the same day.
After getting very frustrated with HSBC for poor service, despite being a Premier customer, I opened a joint current account with my partner at the Market Street branch. The difference has been like night and day. We’ve had about ten interactions both online with the app and in the branch. Every one has been fantastic service. Staff that took responsibility, new what they were doing and were friendly and welcoming. The woman manager I think with a Welsh accent was stand-out customer service although everyone there has been great. Well done Nationwide. What a change!
