Absolute jokers. Quoted £697 for a back & middle exhaust for a Vauxhall Astra Twintop. I said no way & was told I could have 20% off making it £555. Still said it was far too much & id phone my regular garage. Was told to do it there & then & they would try & match quote. I’d already decided that they weren’t getting my custom as if they were bothered about customers they’d offer their best price first !  Phoned my regular garage & the guy said he’d give him the part numbers to make it easier. I handed my phone over & he duly gave him the part numbers. They said they’d call back in a couple of minutes. They did & I was quoted £187. I said I’d be there in the morning. The guy asked how much I’d been quoted & when I told him he said no way can he do it for that, he’s quoted on a regular Astra, not a convertible !   I asked how that could be when he’d given him the part numbers. That shut him up !

When I got home, I phoned a couple of other garages up as I couldn’t believe the £500 difference. One quoted £184 & another £180. I asked if they’d quoted for the convertible and all said yes. Had the work done the following morning & sure enough it was £187. 

Was quite annoyed at what I had been quoted via National exhausts & Tyres so I phoned 4 different branches & all 4 quoted different prices ranging from £600 to £180. Also 3 of them reduced the price immediately before I’d even said that was too expensive ???  

Got in touch with Regional Manager who apologised and offered a very basic explanation that the price was wrong on the £697 quote. I asked why it wasn’t quoting the same price on all their computers & was told it was ??  I asked if they made prices up as they went along & was told no, but the more experience a manager had they knew what the correct price should be. I asked why quote higher first then & it still didn’t explain why each garage quoted a different start price & a different cheaper price. 

Just had a bit of fun & phoned 4 more branches up & again was told screen price was £691 but they could do it for £290, another said he’d do it for £315 a third quoted £600, never offered to lower the price even when I said it was too expensive and the last one was so rude saying he was too busy to quote & ring back in the morning ... Wow who can afford to be so rude to a customer who was expected to spend over £600. Oh I know National exhausts

Reporting to Trading Standards as something stinks here

Excellent service, and got me back on the road the same day. Price reasonable considering the work involved, and would have probably cost more at my local garage. Friendly staff.

Nice curteous staff, work done efficiently within one and a half hours including the delivery of the parts! Job done well done!

Terrible place, staff were talking in office about using cheaper parts. I was fuming that they had added products such as a five year guarantee for £5 extra which I did not and do not want!!!
