I had a very upsetting experience at this Sainsbury’s petrol station.nAfter filling up my car and purchasing a meal deal, I paid at the counter, scanning my Nectar card and informing the cashier of my pump number. Later, I noticed only the meal deal amount had been charged to my bank account.nnI immediately rang the station to sort it out — less than 24 hours later — only to be spoken to rudely, by a man named nadad? treated like a criminal, and told it had already been passed to a third party because it was “past midnight.” I was told I now have to pay an extra fee on top of my fuel, even though I tried to resolve the issue straight away and even offered to come in and pay, but was refused. The man who answered the phone accused me of deliberately stealing, but once a family member rang up he retracted that statement.nnThe woman who served me — grey-haired, wearing glasses, and very moody in her manner — made no attempt to clarify or assist at the time. This left me feeling even more anxious when I realised the payment issue.nnI left feeling extremely upset. I am an honest customer who made every effort to do the right thing, but was made to feel like a thief over an obvious mistake.nnVery disappointed in how Sainsbury’s handled this — no empathy, no understanding, and no basic respect for loyal customers.
Well stocked and well situated on busy A65 roundabout in Yeadon . There’s a public restroomnbut not sure about disabled access tho .nMost people have been to put fuel in their vehicles and then go into the store as the pay desk is there .nAs a pedestrian you can approach from A65 to main entrance, however the footpath is on one side only and stops at the edge of the car park . No dropped kerb !! A car Park has been provided so people can park up and get in the store without disrupting the working of the petrol station . There is one disabled bay right outside the door . The shop door is glass and opens by sliding to your left as you approach it .nThe footpath from Apperly lane leads direct to the store .nThe shop sells the usual staple items like bread, fruits, veggies etc as well as Costa coffee, milk, newspaper s etc . There is a queue system for the tills when busy .
If your staff don't want to work here, tell them to go work somewhere else, instead of looking like the world is against them and look so miserable! Manners don't cost anything at all... when you say have a good evening and they look at you like they've just stood in something! No one likes to work but when you're in customer services sometimes you've got to put a face on at least... instead of just leaning on the till when its busy on a Sunday.14th Apr afternoon. Time... 17.30... check your camera and see how your staff act at the till.
Disgusting customer service today from woman with glasses and grey/yellow hair serving at fuel /less than 4 items till.nNeeds training on how's too speak to Customer's like asking for nectar card, asking if they want a receipt and then tutted because I presented nectar card to the machine instead of swiping it.... To which I told her you work here I don't you ask the questions for what's required!nSpend some of the fuel profit that all of a sudden is zooming up on employee training.
Went to buy a paper a lottery ticket and collect £3-80 winningsnGave this extremely rude woman my ticket and asked for a lucky dipnShe mumbled something about doing it separatelynCame back with ticket and asked for the money for that and the paper.I mentioned about my winnings and the abrupt reply was she said she had to do it separately but proceeded to the next till where she could do it all together.I tried to make light of this but got no reply.nWhy work in customer service if you are going to be like this?nThere was no need to be like this I shall be going to Morrisons in future.nAt least they give the impression of wanting to be doing the job they are getting paid for.
