When you're told it's 45 minutes and given a floor plan of a house with 5 bedrooms you think you'll see more than 4 rooms: the entry hall, the study, the living room and 1 bedroom. No bathrooms, no toilets, no kitchen. I criticise the your, not the guide, who was clearly folllwing a script, but a script which repeated everything from the website and guidebook. I would have much preferred the chance to view and ask questions. 20 minutes in one room hearing infinite detail about the modernist movement with very little detail about the actual house was such a disappointment. Why your a property which is largely closed off and not even mention this on the website?!

Very fascinating place which was a lovely day out with my partner and our little girl. If you plan on walking around the whole park it's great and there are some amazing views. At the entrance there's a lovely little cafe - but the staff were a bit rude (but didn't spoil it for us) Nice little play area too :)

Excellent day out with the family, great play ground which is always generally busy, also has events on regularly too. The Easter event was really good, they also had a battle re-enactment this weekend, which was very entertaining. Nice cafe just outside with good coffee and millionaires shortbread :)

Very beautiful and not too big. They had boats to hire which were priced and the cafe is good.

Very interesting, modern history, a house built in the modernist style. Knowledgeable guide and a fascinating visit. A great place to take visitors to the area. The house can only be visited once a week so book ahead. It's also National Trust prices :( - but OK if you're a member. The house isn't quite where it shows on Google, but the spot highlighted is the pickup point for the coach that takes you there, less than 1/2 a mile.
