One of the most beautiful national trust properties I've ever been to. I'd definitely rank it in my top 3! There are 700 acres of parkland to enjoy, in which you can see a church, lake, various follies and the house, which you can visit though I myself didn't. There is also a walled garden though this incurs a small extra fee and doesn't allow dogs. The rest of the park is dog friendly, provided they are kept under control and on a lead.

Caters really well for the disabled. An ingenious tracked gizmo for getting wheelchair up steps to house. Buggy ride through park to house. Disappointing to see nothing in house though, rooms bereft of furniture.

We've done dozens of national trust houses and gardens and this may just be the best. Absolutely stunning views and walks - a whole days worth if you have the time. Plenty to keep the kids occupied too. Excellent

A lovely walk around the grounds and the RAF museum was interesting for a change. If you take the kids, be aware every other person has a dog!

Always a nice place to take the family, take a long walk or take the mini-truck to the main house. Very interesting past and various owners over the years, now saved by the NT and not turned into a golf course thank goodness.
