It's an amazing place full of good science stuff for the whole family. We visited this place 15 years ago when our children were young, and now they've grown up and the National Space Centre has changed so much but still very much relevant and interesting. Thank you for looking after this fantastic place. The highlight of the visit were: the planetarium we were watching "The Solar System", the space toilet and the expanding universe. Oh and the recipe for life and the Mars rover. The piece of rock from the moon and from Mars are cool. Don't forget to visit the 4 floors of the "tower", right above the canteen.
This place was awesome, I would have given it five stars, but there were about twenty different schools there on the day I visited. Far too many children running around being annoying, it would be good if they limited the school visits to two groups a day so as everyone can look around in peace, because there is so much information to read, it was hard with all the children. The cafe was nice, the toilets were spotless, the planetarium was the highlight, that was great, and it was easy to park £4 all day. A good day out whether on your own, as a couple or the whole family.
Best place to go with family. 100% better than London science museum. Very interactive and lots to see and explore. Worth a visit. Especially the planetarium. It was amazing!
A great place to take the kids and adults who want to learn and watch space and astronauts. The astronaut show in the move theatre was amazing with a big globe screen and sound effects. Walking to the top of the space rocket and playing the mini games along the way. Some cafe and souvenir shop to buy food and gifts. Purchase ticket in advance online and it turned into a free annual pass.
Been wanting to go for years, came for a daytrip. Unfortunately lots of school trips in but still had a great time. Wasn't sure from the outside but very good inside. Lots of excellent exhibits and the planetarium was awesome and the speaker was amazing. Your ticket gives you an annual pass for the same price.
Great place for kids. It has a shop and parking as well as a caffetteria. It's a bit pricey and on top of that you have to pay for parking. Most of the exhibitions are outdated. Would I go there? I am not sure. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you have small kids interested in learning about space.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure
The staff at the reception was super nice and friendly. She was very helpful. We got the tickets went in. So is very informative in general. Sometimes was a bit crowded at places. But all good. Also saw the movie at the planetarium. That was probably the best. Only issue was the seats were a bit uncomfortable. Collectively is good, if you want to learn more about space shuttles and more.
I really love visiting the Leicester Space Centre. My last visit to the Leicester Space Centre was an half day visit with my boyfriend. The photo credits for my visit to the Leicester Space Centre are thanks to my boyfriend Vernski Thomas Noble. It was an really amazing and enjoyable experience for me. It was my 32nd birthday. I really enjoyed my time looking at each and every one of the awesome displays and exhibits. Absolutely loved the rockets, sensory rooms and the huge telescope too. The sensory room experiences and space shows were all really good. The sensory rooms were not too intense and triggering for my chronic migraines and autism symptoms too. I enjoyed the choice of food and drink that was served on the day too. Overall I did have a really thrilling birthday experience. Huge thanks to the Leicester Space Centre and their amazing sensory rooms, inspiring space shows and really interesting space exhibits too. It's been a while since I've being able to visit any places outside my home down to my chronic migraines and mobility issues being worse too. I often need an wheel chair and need more support from my family nowadays just to help me go out for the day but really hoping with both my legs improving and my migraines getting better this year too that I will be able to visit the Space centre again and really soon too for another exciting half a day experience along with my 6 year old daughter and family. It will be my daughters first time experience at the Leicester Space Centre too. My daughter will be learning about Space at school so this visit would really help her with this and be fun for us both. I'm really interested in the idea of joining the Accessibility Space Centre Sunday Afternoon Sessions. The Sunday afternoon sessions won't be quite as intense and busy for both me and my daughter when we both decide to go for our visit too. I've subsribed with the Leicester Space Centre Newsletter too. It has been really informative and enjoyable to read. Thanks for the amazing experiences and will see you again soon.
This place is amazing! Hard to tell in words you need to see it all ! So much information. Tickets 20£ per person. 1£ less if booked online. Would pay even more for what it is. Needs all day to explore all floors and take part in activities. Plenty of parking, but not free of charge. Overall this is superb. Highly recommended.
