I popped into this place today in part because my wife and I ate there a few years ago, in part because I was a bit on the early side looking for lunch and this seemed to be the only place that had more than two people in it at the time and in part because a sign on the front said "under new management". The staff all women at front of house were super friendly and the service was just right. The food was good and reasonably priced. They had Lion Stout beer as well, so of course I had to give that a go and it really made a nice match to the food.
All of us in our family, loved the food and greatly enjoyed the friendly hospitality! Our family is diverse in origins and foodie beyond geographical boundaries! In comparison to other eateries of the kind, and not really finding any minuses to reckon, I would love to give all the stars to this place! Keep the taste and the smiles on,....Mr. Nandu & crew!!
I have visited this restaurant on several occasions now and it has to be one of the best in Southall simply because the owner cares. It is a little small and does not have the external elegance and chic that the other big name restaurants in Southall have. But, the food is freshly made. In contrast to Mirch Masala where the butter chicken I ordered came out in under a minute, at this place, it actually took a while and the chicken felt it was cooked properly with the sauce. It did not taste as if the dish was simply bits of chicken dipped in a sauce and placed on the table. I would trust this restaurant over others because food is freshly made and the owner does take interest in ensuring customers leave happy. I have seen this first hand.
This is my usual lunch place. The food quality is amazing. The portion size is very good. The chefs have spoke with me while I am having my food. As I forgot you are closed today I went to another place near the high street. The food does not compare to yours. Your food is head and shoulders above the rest. I usually eat there for lunch or dinner five times a week Customer for life.
New photo. Is this place shut or just late/not opening on a Tuesday? Visited one Saturday lunchtime and was so impressed I took a group of friends back for an evening meal. Decor, seats & tablewear are a step above other local eateries. Food is tasty and most dishes show a mastery of the ingredients. Even the mango chutney is special. Can you tell which herb lifts it beyond the ordinary?
Shame on Indian food First three items ordered we're not available. Restaurant wasn't busy so seems like not organised. Uncooked lamb served and poor kid waiters working hard and have no clue what to do. Didnt want to order mains after a weird experience. Asked for the bill and bill was presented without any courtsey of uncooked food served and no apology. Couldn't pay the bill by card as card machine wasn't working. Wasn't informed or had no notice until we actually asked to pay by card. It's a joke. Very mismanaged place. I can only hope kitchen is atleast maintained or clean at least. HIGHLY NOT RECOMMENDED..
Extremely good value food and they were very nice to accommodate us. More of a cafe than a full on restaurant though. You cannot beat the price. Very casual diner
Very authentic Indian food. Veg starters and pander mains are very delicious. Quantity is also good versus price. Owner of the restaurant is very customer focus. Must go to place in Southall
Fantastic food, spicy panneer tikka masala, the aloo parantha really tasted like homemade one. Mixed pakoras were very nice too whole experience topped up by very friendly service. Definitely would go back for more.
Had the Chilli chicken, mixed veg pakora, and fish pakora. Chicken was not fresh, fish pakora tasted frozen, and veg pakora was over cooked and had a fishy taste. Food aside, the chef then stood behind us nearer the back of the restaurant and proceeded to clip his finger nails in the restaurant. Was utterly surprised and appalled, and after further research have discovered a food rating of 0 of 5 as of 12/16. Won't be going back. Cheap but not cheerful.
