Story

Nailsworth Garden Centre is situated in the picturesque Cotswold town of Nailsworth which is set in the steep valleys and folds of the Cotswolds five miles south of Stroud. The enchanting scenery surrounding the whole of the district makes Nailsworth a very good centre for touring and for those who enjoy walking and horse riding.

The garden centre was built on the orchard that belonged to the main house to the Nailsworth Mills woollen mills estate alongside the Aven Brook that drains from the hills and into the River Frome. Interestingly, the garden centre holds an extractions licence to take the natural spring water from the many springs that come out of the bank at the rear of the site and use this to water their plants in the planteria.

It was opened on April 15th 1995 by the late Geoff Hamilton and aimed to provide an extensive plant range, a unique gift and home range and a superb restaurant namely Tubbys. We are passionate about plants and whether you are a seasoned gardener or new to gardening and looking for advice on how to grow tasty home grown produce you will find a warm and friendly welcome awaiting you in our centre.

"We are an outstanding Garden Centre focussing on a wide variety of quality plants. We opened in 1995 on the site of an apple orchard and recently been acquired by Blue Diamond Group. We have a wonderful sized restaurant with outside seating area and a great selection of food and drinks to enjoy from breakfasts through to afternoon teas. Our main shop offer a great selection all things garden related and a fantastic selection of compost with a drive and load option next to our large free car park."
