Location isn’t great. Not walking distance to anywhere, amenities or pubs/restaurants etc. we knew this when booking, but good to let others know. If you are in the large field the road is very noisy and very busy. Neighbours spent all afternoon/evening riding quads around the field next door for the entire week. I had videos but Google won’t let me upload videos. If you enjoy your fire pits then don’t bother here, they have to be extinguished with water by 10pm and the owner patrols the site with a torch making sure they are out. Something to do with insurance, but never experienced this in 30 years of camping. Water points are up by the toilet block so if you are at the bottom of the field it’s not close. The toilet block are modern and constantly cleaned, pitches are huge and the site is very well kept and clean. If you want a base to use to drive around to surrounding towns and villages and do not mind a bit of noise then it’s perfect. If you want things to walk, peace and quiet and enjoy a fire pit with friends or family then look elsewhere.
This was a good campsite. Clean, nice owners, Lovely shower and toilet block. Washing block was spotless. Really good to have so much fridge space and the dog off lead area is really super for people with dogs. This is very much catered towards campers or people without. children. There is nothing to do here without any kind of excursion. No play area, no trails or paths. There is a good bit of space between pitches for them to run around but that's all.
