Featuring a leisure club and indoor swimming pool, this hotel is 6 minutes’ drive from the A14 in suburban Ipswich. The Belstead Brook Muthu Hotel is built around a 16th Century hunting lodge, with extensive lawned gardens and its own restaurant and bar.

Each bedroom at the Belstead Brook Muthu Hotel comes traditionally decorated with an en-suite bathroom. Rooms include a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilities, iron and ironing board, and a trouser press.

The hotel offers spa and beauty treatments in the leisure club, which must be booked prior to arrival. There is a large indoor pool, sauna, steam room and solarium, as well as a fully equipped gym.

A full English breakfast is on available each morning, with alternative options of kippers, porridge, yoghurts, fruits and pastries. The hotel restaurant serves a fixed price 2 or 3 course menu or an a la carte menu, influenced by British and Continental cuisine.

I’ve been to this fabulous hotel many, many times & it’s always a pleasure to stay here. The food is fantastic, the bar is peaceful but also lively. The pool / sauna area is luxurious and is the perfect place to relax over the weekend or for any other time you wish to visit.nnThe only downside I I have ever had here is some mattresses are sometimes quite hard. If all rooms had the soft and comfy mattresses that most do, then this is the perfect spot for a comfortable stay away.

We had a great weekend stay here.  The  room was spacious and very clean. We stayed half board, the breakfast buffet had a  great selection and evening meals were superb!nStaff are friendly and very helpful. A staff member Angelos  bar/restaurant was fantastic.  The only slight shame was the bar closing at 10.30 on a Saturday evening.  But not forgetting how nice the leisure facilities are.  We will definitely return here.

I had a pleasant and peaceful stay at this location. The rooms were spacious and well-maintained, and the room service was excellent. One of the highlights was the massage, which was definitely worth it. Special mention to Ashly, the masseuse, who provided exceptional service and made the experience even better with her friendly and professional attitude.nnHowever, the food wasn't quite to my taste. While it was of good quality, it might not be to everyone's liking. The biggest downside of my stay was the reception service—unfortunately, the staff there were unwelcoming and displayed an unprofessional attitude, which left a negative impression.nnOn the positive side, the pool and leisure center were great, adding to the overall relaxing experience. Despite some issues, it was a good stay overall.

This a rather tired and dated hotel that appears a shrine to its owner with a large portrait above reception.nWe were hoping to eat at the restaurant after potentially arriving at 21.00. We phoned ahead to be told that the kitchen shut at 20.30, the week before Christmas.nnThe breakfast was good though

Room was a little disappointing with shower head broken. Despite the fact maintenance had tried to fix it. Had to use an elastic band to hold it in place. Curtains looked sad hanging off their rings, shabby appearance.nAlso the reception staff did not glance up from their computernwhen we entered and left the hotel. A simple good morning or good evening would have been more welcoming and polite. 2 seconds glance and acknowledgement would have done.
