We hired a few tables on the terrace for my daughters baby shower, We had a beautiful cream tea, the scones where freshly baked they tasted amazing, everyone said how fresh they where, We also had a buffet style lunch spread, sandwiches, chips, vegetarian selection etc, all of it so tasty, 5 stars to the chefs. All the staff are friendly polite and happy to help, they are all a lovely team. The whole party had a lovely chilled out day, thank you to all the staff who helped make the day special. I would say to anyone if you haven't visited yet you must go.
Went here for date night after the husband was recommended by friends. I checked out the menu before and thought it was too posh for me but the husband wanted to go so we booked a table. When we arrived there for our table at 7pm the carpark was full!....shows that it is enjoyed by many throughout the day but someone was just leaving! Perfect! I didn't need to find a space somewhere else in the dark! Lots of friendly faces from the staff when we arrived and there was lots of chatter from the customers seated at their tables. Considering the number of people it was clean and tidy and well looked after. We were seated and ordered our drinks. I liked how they were mainly local suppliers and businesses helping to support eachother! We ordered our food and my lack of posh names for normal dishes showed ‍ but everything I ordered was delicious! My husband even said the hummus from his starter was "the best he had ever had!" All of the staff were amazing tending to customers, turning tables over for the next and keeping everything clean and tidy, like a well oiled machine! Will definitely return but not one for our toddler just yet...this can remain a nice place for mummy and daddy first!
The food was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly. Lovely atmosphere inside and out. Definitely recommend.
My Husband and I enjoyed a festive sharing platter. It was sooooooooooo good. The pub is lovely and has a great play area for childrenFood: 5/5

Always amazing, the best roasts in Plymouth ! I go often and can never fault the food or the service. It's a lovely pub with lots of charm. The log burner is an extra bonus .
Had a fantastic meal here for other half dad's birthday. Staff very friendly. Took the dog so sat outside. Bit windy. Would love to go again & sit inside. Without barky dog.
Just looking forward to a mid week meal out but turned into so much more. Excellent service, atmosphere and food far superior to anything in the locality. Highly recommend. Val Fisher.
Popped in on the off chance of a table service is great I went for the catch of the day Lemon Soul, outstanding service and food. Booked a table last night once again great service and the catch of the day to die for. Would book again when down that way.
