Great pub, friendly atmosphere & staff. Great to see it still had a pool table away from the main bar. Enjoyed the live music, space to dance. Would recommend for a night out on the barbican. We went to other venues, they all lacked the same atmosphere.
Great place! Really friendly and helpful staff. Portion sizes are huge. Ordered a sharing platter for starters between two of us and it was enough for four people. Should mention it on the menu. The food was absolutely delicious though.
Always liked the navy before. But drinks in plastic cups and pervey middle aged men mostly in the bar is pretty off putting. Don't take women in here you end up swinging
Lovely WARM friendly pub, in a great position. The food was absolutely delicious, I would highly recommend a visit. Be back next visit We'll be back
The famous 29 Commando bar. Whenever I am in Plymouth I always garb a pint in here. They have decent beer on tap and selection of hard liquors. There is a pool table, slot machine and they always have the sport playing. Can get extremely busy at popular times. There are loads of military photos dotted around the bar and pictures of those who have fallen. I haven't tried the food yet.
Great bar, televisions screening football, rugby and other sporting events, also serves good food. Second level has a restaurant area and seating outside.
Very good lunch menu, 2 for £15. Beer was good too. Bar staff friendly. Would definitely recommend

We came across this pub after visiting the aquarium and were really glad we did. Really impressed with the food and drinks, fairly priced. We’ll be going there again the next time we’re in Plymouth.
The Manageress charges me GBP34.45 for a pint of Foster's....then throws me out when I point out her error and ask for a refund in cash!!! Are you kidding!!! Maybe she was hoping I was just passing through and wouldn't notice the error until I was back in Australia!!! DON'T GO THERE!!!
