Cannot resist their coffee ever since I tried it. Because they have the BEST flat white in East London! With friendly staffs, delicious cinnamon rolls, and lovely little sleeping creature, a perfect day for me
Extremely rude man with a mullet with no manners serving me and my partner today. Coffee shop looks hipster enough to serve proper coffee but it fails to deliver on quality above a Nero Cafe. No proper heaters for the croissants so they will sandwich press them. Eating in and they will provide takeaway cups, not very environmentally friendly at all. To the owner. The man, serving us was on the 1st of Nov 2022 at 930am so you know who it is.
I live locally but have never visited Mughead coffee before. After a trip to the vets, I popped in to get a drink for both myself and my Dad on our way back home. The café itself is quite small, and somewhat minimalist. All the tables were busy, but it wasn’t a problem as we had our dog and were planning to sit outside anyway. The staff were lovely, and very friendly. I opted for a coconut milk matcha, and ordered a filter coffee for my Dad. The staff were really honest and told me the filter coffee wasn’t quite hot enough - and I really appreciated not being palmed off with lukewarm coffee. I ordered a large americano for him instead. My Dad really enjoyed his coffee, and my matcha was lovely too - although I would have preferred it to be a little bit hotter. It hasn’t put me off making a repeat visit though.
I’ve lived in the area since 2019, and for some reason am only just discovering the place. The coffee here is amazing
80% of my writing time is spent here. good ambience, sexy coffee, great cinnamon rolls, cute plants, always full of nice posters. what’s even better - tables are no longer sticky !!
super cute coffee shop!! their cinnamon rolls are downright addictive and often warm, the music is very cozy and the staff are always so nice and friendly. only thing i wish was different - the chairs/benches are a bit hard to sit on for a while. i’m definitely becoming a regular regardless
Nice place to have a coffee & freshly baked pastry; i usually visit in the morning as otherwise could be quite busy and difficult to get a table. I love the smell of freshly baked cinnamon rolls, it's just a pity they dont serve them as a plain option too.
Interesting place to visit, very cosy and rustic. I was happy they had some vegan options, very nice cake and also plantbased alternatives for hot drinks. Nice atmosphere and a good meeting place for friendsFood: 3/5
Unexpectedly great shop in a nearly deserted strip-mall. Nice atmosphere, wonderfully friendly staff. They serve a nice filter coffee, which is hard find sometimes in London. Food is mostly grilled sandwiches in various forms, with a side of crisps. All tasty. But the real reason to visit is this: they bake fresh cinnamon rolls, handmade right there. And they are delicious!
An amazing coffee experience in New Cross. Fabulous coffee. And as fabulous was the brownie. The team members themselves were warm and friendly. The space is very minimal and yet very comfortable. Loved the little design elements. It is truly comfort space. Loved it. Would love to come back.
