Fabulous sichaun food. Some unusual dishes on the menu but everything I've ordered has been really tasty. The food isn't particularly spicy, as I would expect but I guess you can ask for extra spicy, if that's your bag. The staff are always cleaning up and the restaurant is clean and tidy.
Our first ever hotpot experience last night was a good one. The young waiter was so helpful with explaining the menu to us and telling us what was what as it arrived to the table. Food was so nice. Around £100 between 4 of us, for 2 main noodle dishes, lots of beers, and lots of hotpot ingredients sea foods, meats, veg etc. Will go back very soon.
Such an amazing experience of the hot pot!!! Loved the variety of toppings and different types of fillings: shrimps, meat, organs, vegs… delicious!!!! Staff is friendly as well. And the tables are so big and comfortable
Love the food here, the pricing is surprising good value and lots of choice. Free on street parking from 6pm. Would like it if they offered everyone green tea in a pot though, as is traditional in Chinese restaurants and much healthier.
Easy to locate No accessible entrance to the basement floor where rice is being sold. Noodles are sold on the ground floor. Cash only, no card or contactless Parking around is not free The meal is worth the price. Yummy and plenty
First time there! The foods wasn't bad! We order quite a lot.
Went for a friend's birthday meal here. First time here and didn't know if it was meant to be upstairs hot pot or downstairs restaurant. We figured downstairs. We went down a set of stairs...and I think I saw a lift come to think of it..not sure if its in use, but would be handy for those with access difficulties. Restaurant was clean and bright. Staff welcomed us over to our reserved table. Food was authentic and tasted like home. We tried many dishes, the fish was silky smooth, the veggies were on point, the spice in the noodles were very tasty. The bill between us was £22 including tips. The toilets even had a squat toilet too for users that are used to that kind of toilet. I tried it and was fine. The parking is a bit bothersome as its quite pricey. Try to park around the vicinity instead after 6 as its free.
Very reasonably priced authentic Chinese food. Good portions and tasty.
Authentic with big portions. Upstairs serves hotpot and oil splash noodles which for some reason has to be ordered separately to any orders downstairs. Highly recommend the which comes in long hand-pulled strands in a thick spicy sauce. The place always seems to be packed with family gatherings and students. Vegetarian options: Not the main focus but plenty of very tasty vegetable and tofu based options and the chef is willing to accommodate and remove meat based sauces from otherwise largely vegetarian options e.g. braised aubergine or family style tofu. Wheelchair accessibility: Lift for downstairs access
Ordered Aubergine stuffed with Garlic sauce from the vegetable section of the menu, arrived stuffed with Pork. The staff refused to accept any wrongdoing despite the menu making no mention of pork in the dish. We are regulars here and we’re so disappointed. Worse still, the staff were rude and after much discussion only agreed to a 50% discount of the dish. I would strongly encourage people, particularly vegetarians or vegans to avoid this place. Whilst I’m not a vegetarian, the reason we ordered a vegetable dish was to avoid meat. Vegetarian options: They don’t exist. Don’t trust the menu or the staff. Will be reporting them to the food standards agency.
