I was going to give three stars, but the cost knocked yet another one off. The meat, onions and mushrooms were cooked lovely. The curry sauce and rice were absolutely tasteless. They gave us one bowl of so called fried rice to share then charged us for two at £3.50 each. The rice was just bland boiled rice. It was still white. The curry sauce really was watered down. I honestly can make a better one myself, with the Chinese curry from the supermarket. Gone are the days of great tasting Chinese curries. They all seem to be a ripp off. So me and the wife have decided not to bother with them anymore. They charged £4 for a pint of coke. Total bill for two beef curries, rice, a small coke and a large coke, was an eye watering £36.. Stick to pizzas, burgers, kebabs or Indian curries. Much cheaper and taster better.
Stopped off after shopping in Bold street. We were warmly greeted and given a choice of tables. The restaurant is spotless. The usual wide choice of food. I would highly recommended to all really handy for station. Central station 3 minutes away.
Lovely restaurant spotlessly clean beautifully decorated, friendly and efficient staff. Really quick service and food prep time. Relaxed and cosy atmosphere. Comfortable chairs and nice lighting. Bathroom was beautiful and smelt really nice which was surprising. Only concern with this restaurant is accessibility as there are a few steep stairs roughly 3/4 to access the restaurant and we could not see an obvious access point for wheelchairs mobility scooters or prams. We also did not notice any high chairs around. Staff are maintaining excellent guidelines in the respect of covid 19 and are promptly disinfecting and sanitizing tables and areas after each customer. Food was amazing we had the lunch menu 3 courses priced at £15 which was amazing value and everything we had was enjoyed. Un eaten food can be taken home for an additional £1 too. We will definitely be visiting here again and recommending to family and friends.
Not bad value for three courses. Had to be seated before 7pm to get the £14.50 price. Soup was delicious and good range of appetizers. The main wasn't huge but certainly came out feeling full. Loved the decor.
The food isn't bad but it lacks any real flavour so everything on the menu tastes the same. If you're someone that wants to experience Chinese food but isn't into flavour and spice then this place is perfect. If however you love food that's seasoned and takes you on a journey you will find the options on here very bland. We tried the Spring Rolls, Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Curry, Crispy Seaweed, Sesame Prawn Toast, Ribs, Chicken and Sweetcorn Soup and Chicken Curry. Apart from the textures it was really difficult to tell the difference between each item. Personally I think there are better options in the city
Lovely place, and amazing food. Will come back for sure.
Great food and service nice cozy chinese restaurant near central station everything was excellant except the awful loud music that was not my style especially annoying whilst eating.
Absolutely Delicious Perfect service Fabulous price Absolutely spotless toilets!
The food was OK but I wouldn't necessarily think it's worth the price. I ordered £50 worth of food for two people and one of the items I ordered the king prawn chow mein was not de-veined which put me off the mealadded picture below. The chicken fried rice was meagre and was similar in size to the fried rice in the "sides" section. My partner and I had a hard time getting the attention of the waiters who seemed to ignore us for some reason. Not sure if it was because we're young, but the service was definitely less genuine in comparison to other customers there. The worse moment of the night came when it was time for the check and the lady took the money and asked the chef to check if it was real. That sums up the service for the night and left a very sour taste in both our mouths. Overall, I was disappointed in the evening and will not be visiting this establishment again.
If you want a nice meal with a good atmosphere, then avoid this place at all costs. My partner and I visited on 02/12/23 and were seated. We ordered our starters which took almost half an hour too arrive…. During that wait a huge brawl erupted with drinks getting thrown of which 1 landed on my partners coat. A woman was assaulted during the melee. When all calmed down we ordered our mains which again took almost half hour to arrive, when they did they were both cold. We complained and our food was rudely taken away with no apology and we were made to pay for 2 drinks and 2 starters totalling £34!! Yes £34!! Overall a bad experience.
